Have you (if you string your own rackets) or your stringer had issues with the SPPP Hextreme breaking prematurely? Or are these issues only prevalent with the standard SPPP?
i like sig pro hextreme mains with pacific tough gut 16l crosses. I play them in my dunlop ag 200 strung both at 58. love it.
Couple of issues here. First I absolutely hate Big Ace it's waaaayyyy to powerful especially with Nat. Gut.
I personally really like VS. Gut mains with PHT crosses and I also really like Cyber Power mains 17g with spiral flex crosses 16g. Just what I have found to work best for my game.
See signature. i need to restring my 6.1 soon, put some BB Ace on it.
Actually, I've never had my Hextreme break. Oh, wait, I did have 1 set of 18g snap on me. My crosses will wear and fray ahead of the Hextreme losing tension. In my rig, the battle is between the tension loss in the Hextreme (which has great tension maintenance) vs. fray of the X-1 in te crosses. The X-1 tends to loose the battle and I end up cutting it out after a while (when the X-1 gets a bit mushy and fray. But, don't get me wrong, I love X-1 and aside from NXT Tour as a backup, I wouldn't use any other.
Give it a try. Highly recommed the combo.
BTW - I string myself.

What's your goal, To gain more spin I would go with the BG set up. else the BA set up
I play with a SW grip, and hit a decent amount of spin on my FH. However, my BH is flatter, and I do play an all-court game. I approach the net about 1/4 of the time.
IMO then I would look at BA 1.25/1.22 in a hybrid with a cross of your choice. I use in my crosses either Titan or PSGD. The PSGD gives the string bed a stiffer/chrisper feel IMO. I use BG in my sticks though. Have used BA and it's my second choice.
Sounds like a similar setup that I currently use on one of my K90's...feels very solid and crisp!
