Which Tennis Balls Do You Like?

I'm am wondering what type of tennis balls everyone likes here. I usually play with Penn, but they do not hold. How are the Wilson US Open balls, they didn't get good customer feedback, but I think they are the best. The balls you like don't neccasarily need to be on TW.

I like the Wilson US Open's a lot -- they last noticeably longer than the regular Penn's and have a little more solid feel without being hard or heavy. Penn's feel a little light in comparison.

Gotta go with Dunlop Grand Prix. great durability (they don't go bald fast like Wilsons) and consistent balls as well(all 3 fluff up the same). They last me 1 3 set match and a couple hours in the ball machine. Wilsons are gone after 1 set.

Slazenger are ex Australian Open ball sponsors. Wilson has taken over sponsorship for next year and beyond.

And most of the local tennis associations have started recommending clubs buy the wilson ball packages rather than the slazenger ball packages.

I have been using mostly either Penn or Wilson, but after I got a chance to give Dunlop balls a go, they have to be my favorite.

equinox is that true, it probably explains why our local tennis shop is selling them so cheap
what are the wilsons like?

I've been a user of Dunlop balls since high school and haven't looked back since. They're by far the biggest bang for the buck. I can get a can of 3 balls for $1.99, and they last forever; they don't nap up, and they keep their pressure well.

On the other hand, Penns are crap (they play way too light for my taste, and they lose their pressure too fast), and I was really disappointed in Wilson US Opens, which nap up pretty quickly.

Of the standard "championship" hard court balls available here, Dunlop seem best, Penn an acceptable second choice, and Wilson a distant third.

Nothing like the Slazenger Wimbledon ball. Hard to find, though.

1]Yet another vote for Dunlop Grand Prix balls.
2]ABZORBERS are good, too.
3]Penn ATP's and USPTAs are solid.
4]Wilson US OPEN

ANyone have any feel for the K3 ball?

Nice post!

Gooberwho talks about "napping up". What does that mean? Losing fuzz?

Prince is testing a ball that's better than anything out there, including the Dunlop Grand Prix. I think they're called Prince Tour or something like that. The wear is fantastic and they play great. I hope Prince brings them out soon.
