Berdych beat a fairly subpar Federer and Djokovic for the loss of just one set at 2010 Wimbledon; beat a decent Federer at 2012 USO; straight-setted a mediocre Murray at 2010 RG; had a set point to go two sets up against peakish Nadal at 2012 AO; dominated a subpar Nadal at 2015 AO. Tsonga crushed Nadal at 2008 AO and pushed peakish Djokovic to a fourth set tiebreak; beat a decent Federer at 2011 Wimbledon; held match points against prime Djokovic at 2012 RG. Ferrer beat a so-so Murray at 2012 RG and lost a close four-setter to him at 2012 Wimbledon.

Medvedev beat a subpar Djokovic at 2021 USO; pushed past-prime Nadal to five at 2019 USO; went two sets up against Grandpal at 2022 AO and Sinner at 2024 AO; beat Alcaraz at 2023 USO; dominated Tsitsipas at 2021 AO. Zverev beat Alcaraz in four sets at 2022 RG and 2024 AO, lost to him in relatively easy five at 2024 RG, pushed past-prime Djokovic to five at 2021 USO and close four at 2021 AO. Tsitsipas beat past-prime Federer at 2019 AO and Nadal at 2021 AO; went two sets up against past-prime Djokovic at 2021 RG.

So what do you think? Do share your precious viewpoints.

Med, headcase that he is (and no matter the circumstances), gets to tell his grandkids he beat the GOAT in a GS final. That one match makes the vote easy for me.

Zverev and Tsitsipas make it obvious. Potentially you could talk up a couple of matches from Med but the other two are so garbage this question is NID.

Why do you always ask questions in this forum where you (and everybody else) already know the answer?
Just to dunk on the rare and random drunk poster that replies incorrectly?

Yall feel free to vote for Berdych and those guys and they were all very good but only one dude on this list struck when the iron was hot and won a slam/became no.1, and that’s Medvedev.

The iron never had a chance to be hot for that first group.

Still can't believe that Medvedev won that match against Djokovic in New York.... What a missed opportunity for Novak... He completely crumbled under pressure there...

Replace Zed or Tsissy with Thiem and then you have a really tough question. That 90s trio would probably win it for me just because of Thiem's accomplishments. He did more in 2019 than Zed and Tsissy together did in their entire career (beating Djoker at RG and WTF, Federer IW and Madrid and WTF, beating Claydal in Barcelona, etc etc etc)

He didn’t take Nadal to 5 at RG. He got breadsticked in the last 2 sets

Because of Medvedev's win over Djokovic at one of the USO, I'd give it to his group. However, it should be noted the former trio lived in the era of Big4, which was nothing like what the latter trio faced during their whole career. I think Berd-Tsonga-Ferrer would make a better competition collectively than Med-Zed-Tsitsi.

I would call Thiem-Cilic-Nishikori-Raonic as in-between generation.
