Which Vibration Dampener Do You Prefer?

I use a Babolat Dampener too. Do u use the logo High Damp or the Cosmic Damp? I used the High Damp until I lost all of them and couldn't find any more. I like the feel that it gives me a lot, can't use any other dampener. I would personally try dropping the tension.

I use the high damp because you can choose to add or not to add the insert for more dampening. It all depends on the weather and the present situation of my racquet tensions.

If you've got a dense string pattern the Pete Sampras "O" is terrific, but it does fall out if you've got an open string bed. I'm a lifelong Agassi fan (he uses/used a rubber band) and I wouldn't go with the Sampras "O" if it wasn't all that. The black one is better than the red, fyi, as it has more dampening effect.

Sampras O's on all my racquets except for one that still has the ncode dampener. The O's are great - I've never had a problem with them flying out and disappearing. Can't say the same for those Wilson W's.

Just a silly thought- I can put down three dampeners to say WOW, or two for OW :)

I use to use just the standard Volkl ones. Now, for some reason, I'm not interested in using any of the vibration dampeners.

Perfect Dampener

I actually use a rubberband but I put it in while stringing my racquet. It encompasses the 10 center mains. Just feed the 5th main on either side through the rubber band.

Then after tensioning that string simply weave the rubber band across the already installed mains to the other 5th main string. Feed that main through the rubberband and tension it. It is just like weaving a cross string.

After both of the "5th" mains have been tensioned simply slide the rubberband all the way down to the throat of the racquet to keep it out of the way for the rest of the string job. After the string job is completely finished you can then snug it back up to the bottom cross string.

Now you have ten mains that have been dampened by a device that absolutely will not fly out during play because it is woven across the middle 10 mains.

It will also not effect the flight of the ball much if you ever have the occasion to have a mishit that low on your racquet.
