Which was the most dramatic tennis match you have ever seen?

For me it was the Olympics SF in 2012 hands down. Most stressful match ever. And Fed having to serve to stay in the match 10 times didn't make it any better.
I was on the edge of my seat but winning Wimbledon the other month made it a little easier. The fifth set of this years AO final was just torture for me, all those BP's before finally getting back level...man I was a wreck :D

Good call. I was a mess too, during that. The U.S. open final in 09 against DelPo was no picknick either.

The 5th set was the most difficult to watch. I think it was tougher to watch for me than anything in football (Spain WC final 2010, 2008 UCL final shootout), boxing (Tyson Hollyfield 1),or in basketball (2016 finals game 7)

I don't that there's been something close to it for me or that there ever will be. A lot of Federer fans have said that it's their favourite match of all time and I'm not different. Watched that more than 20 times. Watched the final set alone many times more than that, and I never seem to get sick of it.

It's funny how enjoyable it is to watch when we know the result. Watching it live was brutal.

Hard question to answer, you can name many matches from Borg-Mcenroe Wimbledon 1980 to this years Aussie open final.

Really depends on who you support and who your emotion is invested in. I'm going to be neutral and say Nadal-Anderson was the most dramatic match ever.

For me personally the ones I remember the most;

- AO 2017 final
- Wimbledon 2008 final
- Wimbledon 2009 final
- Olympics 2012 SF
- AO 2012 final
AO Final 2012
Really?

The only thing memorable about that match was that it took 5 hours longer than it had to be.

And to this day, we still don't know what pill Novak took during the match when he tried to hide it with his towel. Also curious to know what was in that orange colored juice smoothie he was drinking throughout the match.

1980 Wimbledon Final Borg vs. McEnroe - This was before I took up tennis. I didn't even have my first racquet yet. But it was so intense, I was glued to the TV for the entire match, start to finish.

Also, the 4 hour 14 minute drama:

1982 Wimbledon Final McEnroe vs. Connors

What I really don’t like about the classic matches of the ages is that I normally rooted for the loser.

The 2013 Wimbledon final for very special reasons that maybe only British tennis fans (or at least the vast majority of us) can fully understand!

For me, also (just sticking to the men's Slams):

1980 Wimbledon final
2001 Wimbledon final
2008 Wimbledon final
2009 Australian Open final
2009 Wimbledon final
2009 US Open final
2011 French Open semi-final (Federer vs Djokovic)
2011 US Open semi-final (Federer vs Djokovic)
2012 Australian Open semi-final (Djokovic vs Murray)
2012 Australian Open final
2012 Wimbledon final
2012 US Open final
2013 French Open semi-final (Nadal vs Djokovic)
2014 Australian Open final
2015 French Open final
2017 Australian Open final

King No1e

G.O.A.T.
Ivanisevic vs Rafter
2005 AO SF
2008 Wimbledon final (probably #2 to Ivanisevic)
2010 US Open SF
2009 AO Nadal v Verdasco
2009 Fed vs Haas RG
2010 USO SF (Fed-Djok)
2011 RG SF
2013 Wimbledon Verdasco v Murray
2017 AO final

Serena vs Vinci 2015 US Open. First time I legitly felt bad and was stunned when Serena lost the chance at a CYGS and 5 slams in a row

Shout out to the 2000 FO Final, Kuerten vs Norman. That 4th set is one of the most dramatic sets I've seen, that didn't go past a TB. Norman saving 10 championship points, until Kuerten finally converting on his 11th.

I voted 2008 Wimbledon final, but people here made me recall the 1980 one between Borg McEnroe. That 4th set tiebreaker, and Borg winning it at the end. Saw it in a black&white TV set alone, I was 15 years old.
Ivanisevic Rafter 2001, I won’t vote for it because of lack of big names.
