White Sampras 'O' Dampener - rock hard

This thing is rock hard.

Nothing like the red Sampras 'O' dampener at all.

Much stiffer than even the Babolat 'o' shaped custom dampener.

Well, at least there's no risk of it flying off.

Perhaps I am the odd man out, but I find the softest dampeners I have to be my clear ones. In particular, the US Open Flame dampeners and the Babolat loony damp fish dampeners are my favorite. So I am trying to get as many of those types as I can.

I like 1/2 inch grommets too, but find that they crack and don't last as long as the sampras ones, which seem to last forever.

Gave up on that sort of dampener after I tried a good ol' #64 rubber band. Superior vibe-stoppage, cheap, easy to find at Staples or just about any pharmacy (pens & stationary aisle), and since they're literally tied onto the mains, they can't pop out.

I had the same problem, Unique went back to the soft kind, said they had a bad batch, probably still some bad ones hanging at retailers. They might it exchange it for you.

They will not exchange them for you. I tried that and received a big fat "no refunds". They will send you a trial pack which consists of 1 of each color. I had 8 to return so I ended up giving them away.

Best dampener besides a soft sampras are the new babolat square damps. Super soft and will not come out of your stick.

^ I thought the previous round Babolat Custom Damps were good. Is the only difference the shape?

The shape and design. There are litle clips on the new ones that lock around the cross so your dampener will most likely never come out.

Really? I just bought some white ones & they feel exactly the same to me.
