Definitely not Draper and Fonseca. I do not understand the ridiculous amount of hype surrounding them. YoungBrazilian is immature, which is understandable at his age with Fritz/Berdych like movement, which is a weakness.
And Draper? His results at slams are beyond pathetic for a player of his calibre. He lost pretty easily to Cilic at home soil for chrissakes.
The only one who has a talent to push them is Zed, at least that is the way I see it. Match against Sinner in Vienna was pretty close and he has beaten Alcaraz plenty of times across all surfaces.

Probably Zverev.

Djokovic could be against Alcaraz the best candidate to bring him down, but against Sinner is a bit of a non-factor at this stage.

Zverev might be the best chance to bring both down.

Draper and FAA. Both will have to have a good day and Sincaraz a bad day. FAA will have to avoid his bh or improve it. I don't think Fonseca yet, maybe 2027.

Fils is injured afaik.

FAA has been beaten by Sinner in straights four times in a row now and is a year older, I don’t see it getting better for him
i think he’s given a better fight than many. but yeah i don’t disagree. hence why i said they’d have to have a good day and have sincaraz a bad one. the only one on tour with the weapons to beat them on a not bad day rn is draper imo. but just having the weapons isn’t enough.

He hasn’t generated a single break point in their last 2 matches. I don’t see it getting better for him.

I already told you i agree dude, can you read lmao. but he’s one of the only people on the tour not named alcaraz to take a set off sinner in a hard court grand slam in 2024. His odds are still better than 99% of the tour.

Draper, Shelton, Fonseca. Gotta be guys with big shots.
You can’t outhit sinner especially with the state of the dead balls. You need some with a bomb serve, can nuke forehands but can play chip drop or loop to throw him off his rhythm. The problem with the current list is they are too predictable

If you don't have those monster shots and insane athleticism in the first place, the variety won't mean anything. Players like Norrie/Bublik have one or the other and I don't think are realistic rivals going forward. I think Draper and Shelton have that potential and are still young enough. Same with Fonseca.

Fils, if he was healthy, is the kind of guy that would force moderators to close threads as Sinner fans seethe.

No FAA in your poll?
I did consider throwing FAA and Mensik in the poll, but didn't want it too bloated. Figured "Other" covered several of these players well enough. I do hope Felix does become a force this season, at least win a Masters, a final or several SFs at the majors.
