But you are asking who dethroned him in those events and mentioning the events they won ?!

I guess the question is who did it after the season. For example, for Djokovic in AO 2011 the answer is Wawrinka, he is the first to beat him there after 2011.

Correct.

Doing three slam seasons first as that is big seasons for them. Will do two slam seasons in next thread.

Might as well get the straightforward one out of the way.

2010 Nadal: Djokovic beat him everywhere in 2011 with the exception of MC and RG, 2013 and 2015 respectively.

Right. Should have guessed them as well. I remember all of Federer's losses in 2005-2006, which gives the answer.

Federer won three straight IW titles, so it was Canas.

Federer won Hamburg back to back in 04-05, skipped 06, won 07, then lost 08 to Nadal.

Federer won Canada 04, skipped it in 05, won it again in 06, and then lost in 07 to Djokovic.

Yeah, needed to think for another minute. This knowledge is obviously useless, but if I miss something easy like this at a mathematical problem, I usually get annoyed.

Too long to write. The only ones I'm not sure about are Djokovic 2019 Madrid and Paris. I think the answers are Alcaraz and Rune, both in 2022.

You are correct on both of those. Djokovic did not play in Madrid in 2020 due to event not happening, and skipped 2021. He lost to Alcaraz in 2022.

Djokovic did not play Paris in 2020, but won it again in 2021, then lost to Rune in the final in 2022.

Huh, I knew about some of these losses but didn’t know Nadal and Djokovic had skipped previous editions of those tournaments. In particular, I wasn’t sure if Djokovic had played Miami in 2017.

I definitely should have gotten the Olympics one right though. Slipped my mind that Nadal called it a season after Wimbledon and thus wasn’t in the 2012 Olympics.

Djokovic skipped Miami 2017 due to elbow paim.

Nadal missed NA summer in 2014.
