I see more upswing then down swing once Fed retires. These guys are colorful and have their own look and personality which will make tennis more connected to the young hip crowd, that is kind of missing from tennis scene today.

It is hard for a young tennis player to breathe nowadays cause of Federer's corporate machine PC push.

Once fed retires what makes you think these guys will still be around? Not sure if you have seen him play lately, he isnt doing that junior baseline 20 ball bs anymore.

It honestly looks like murray and djok are playing on clay and fed is playing on indoor grass, hard to believe its the same court.

I was joking, but it is amazing though how these days such an idiot can make money.

Look at it through a business perspective he will bring in money and tv ratings the stupider he gets. McEnroe biggest jerk in tennis but making money with his personality and commentating.

We are already seeing from Nike and Wilson how marketable dimitrov's good looks and good looking strokes are without any real on court success. He would be my bet.

I believe the transition has begun with Novak. As far as OP's list is concerned, many talented young players mentioned. Thiem seems to be the most successful so far, but I feel whoever breaks out and contends for a 1000 will be the first to the table & could garner more support, respect, attention, contracts, etc...

Fed will still dominate tennis marketing for 2-4 years after he hangs it up. He'll make as much (or more) money from his endless high-end endorsements. There is no replacement for his style and the types of products-for-the-wealthy he pitches. Nick ain't gonna be shilling Rolex and Tomic isn't going to be a pitch man for champagne or Benz's.
