Djokovic or Murray?

Djokovic: He has already won the OA and 6 masters series on hardcourt. He has been playing well for the last few months, taking Federer out in a big manner at the USO, only to lose against an on fire Nadal. He beats Federer again in an impressive way and goes into the final as the most deserving player.

Murray: He has won 5 masters series and has been one of the best player in the world for the last 3 years. He has done two slam final but never won a single slam. He has such a talent and not winning 1 slam during his carreer would be atrocious. He needs it badly. That may be his best opportunity. Federer has been beaten and Nadal was injured. If he does not win now, it will be even tougher for him mentally.

So, who do you want to see winning?
 
Would be great to see Murray do it for so many reasons. It was interesting to see Djokovic at the start of the season saying Murray deserved to win a major, i'm sure Djokovic is hoping it won't be this one.

They're great friends which i'm sure will relax them both, we could be in for one hell of a final if Murray can get past Ferrer.
 
absolutely no doubt about it: i want to see the djoker with the trophy and the stuffed animal !
(which one will it be this year ?... we already had kangaroo, wombat, koala... maybe a platypus, this time ?) :)
 
At this point I think my preference is leaning towards Ferrer >= Djoker > Murray. As long as we get an interesting final I won't complain, a nice 5 setter to end the drought of 5 setters in the 2nd week.
 
I voted Djokovic, not that I have anything against Murray. It feels like Djokovic is the most complete player out of the current three (Djokovic, Söderling, Murray) main challengers for the two top spots. Obviously both Djokovic and Murray are talented players, but I see more variety and possibilities to threaten Nadal/Federer in Djokovic's game. We must not forget however, that "Murray is the Nietszche of tennis." ;)

Murray, b/c of the story for Great Britain, b/c he hasn't won one yetr and it might propel him to a higher level.

I think Ferrer would be a great story,,,even more emotional in a way....love to see an older guy finally get his due. By all reports, he is a really great individual so it would be nice to see.

I'm not anti-Joker but he already ahs won a slam so I'd like to see a first time winner.

I think Murray-Joker could be a blockbuster b/c, IMO, they have played better than anyone else, including Nadal and Fed, throughout the entire tourney. Maybe we finally are seeing them both rise to the occasion? It would be great for tennis.
 
Although Federer is my one and only favourite player. But i would have been ok if federer had lost to Murray in the final. Murray deserves to win a slam now and he should. I have also sympathy for Roddick against Roger.
 
Not a fan of neither. But I appreciate their hard work to get to where they are as a world class players. But I really think Ferrer is no joke, he is playing on top of his game now. I hope he wins the whole thing.
 
I hope Murray can finally win a GS final...so we can have a legit "Big Four" as well. Djokovic probably deserves it though if he keeps playing at this level...we'll see :)

He's won 6 Masters Series.

I think there's too much disrespect to David Ferrer on the messageboard today.
 
Murray, although I'm beginning to get paranoid at the level of confidence people have in him even reaching the final. Just yesterday Nadal was destined to win 6 Majors in a row. I hope we don't get a repeat of that tomorrow...

Rafael Nadal will win the Grand Slam in 2011.

Roger Federer will win the Grand Slam in 2011.
 
I could have included Ferrer for the pure form but he does not have a chance.

I wanted to test what would be the realist choice between the two other members of the big 4.
 
Djokovic, he is backing up his form at the US Open when he ran in to a Rafa playing out of this mind in hard courts, his average performance over the last 2 majors on hard courts are as better than anyone else, he is too good a player to be a one Slam wonder, I want him to win and am confident he will beat Murray or Ferrer in the final.
 
I want to see Ferrer win it. I think Murray is the biggest whining little ***** on the mens tour and I hope he loses tomorrow.

I definitely want Murray to win this now.

He's a reaaly talentedplayer...he has all the shots...I just thnk he needs to make better decisions out on court...when he does..he will win many slams.
 
I would like Murray if he just kept his mouth shut and showed some class. He has a great game that I really like, but whiny little children make me puke.
 
strange that this thread was started only after one semi was completed, and yet it ignores ferrer as an option.
 
Murray would be so happy to win a grand slam. It would be more awesome than Djokovic winning his second major in my opinion. The final could be AMAZING considering how well both of them are playing. Djokovic totally dominated the baseline rallies against Fed...it was such a relentless display of greatness.
 
Murray needs to take this one, not just for himself or for British tennis, but for this entire era of mens tennis. More grand slam winners make this era look more presentable to the old guys. And nothing spells "strong era" than more slam winners.
 
Now that Fed and Nadal are both out I am fairly neutral. I guess I would like to see Djoko win though or Ferrer. I am not that fond of Murray for some reason.
