WTA H2H: 3-2 for Gauff

This is the second participation in the Grand Slam finals for both female tennis players, Coco lost her first final at RG 2021 against Swiatek, while Aryna succeeded in this year's AO final against Rybakina.

Thanks to @Enceladus for posting this. Siegemund, Mertens and Wozniacki all put their best foot forward but Zheng and Keys were no pushovers.

Both had it pretty easy in the scheme of things (although the scores lines don’t show it). But the answer is Gauff.

Coco defeated Ostapenko who had just taken out #1 Swiatek one round before and is a slam champion and then she took out top 10 Muchova who was the French Open runner up this year.

Sabalenka meanwhile had Kasatkina, Zheng and Keys. All ok players but none that have had stellar seasons or accomplished what Muchova has this year or even Ostapenko. Mad credit to Sabalenka for the huge fight back against Keys in the SF but. Hope she can take the final in a few hours time!

Agreed but still rate her above Zheng in terms of the QF opponent.

Siegemund 1R, Andreeva 2R and Mertens 3R also quite tough for Gauff compared to the very easy Zanevska 1R, Burrage 2R and Burel 3R for Sabalenka.

Yes, the first 3 rounds were not easy at all for Coco. They should both be well tested for today's match.
