I listed some people I've seen hit a between the leg shot. Who do think is the best at this shot?
its gotta be fabrice santoro
Definitely Paradorn, I saw him hit an in-betweener on the run and crosscourt for a winner.
Ferrero, he hit an amazing one once.
Paradorn has the best, but Coria has the smoothest looking one.
You mean this one. http://www.atptennis.com/en/mercedesbenz/archive.asp?AssetID=935
What about the one Roddick hit this year at Australian Open against Jurgan Melzer. It was clean winner! Here is a video http://www.andyroddick.com/photosvideos/decodrive/
You have to wait about 15 seconds untill the betweener part!
PDooooorn. He probably goes for that shot the most too.
Agassi & Sabatini come to mind.
Definiately not Federer. He lost the AO semi to Safin with an attempted btl shot on match point.
I love Paradorn...that between the legs shot was GOD LIKE.
I think it's time Roger practises the half volley between the leg lob when the other player is at net. That's one shot he hasn't mastered.
On a serious note, I think I have seen Fabrice make this shot on a few occasions, so probably him, or Ferrero. But the one PDorn hit was just incredible.
Roddick can hit the BTL shot all-day long, he loves it
Yes. I Roddick can really hit a betweener.
No-one will have the same impact as the original between the legger - Yannick Noah!
U could add zabaleta, ferrero and Lappenti !! i have seen these guys hit great between leg shots
from the list i think fed is the worst and srichaphan the best
what about gonzalez?
in the gonzalez v/s youzhny wimbledon 2005, gonzo performed an astonishing under leg 125 mph shot that youzhny (who was making his approach to the net) couldn't volley...
...it was such a powerfull shot that youzhnys raquet almost broke apart
the commentators were astonished, it was simply spectacular
Err...125 mph between the legs shot. I highly doubt that. Do you have a video? Source?
I can barely serve 125, much less hit it between my legs..
anybody seen ferrero's under the leg shot against agassi in 2003 us open??
that was awesome...
yeah, that Ferrero shot was awesome, and as for the Gonzalez shot... well, it was pretty fast, but I even doubt his forehands are 125mph. that's just not physically possible.
and just for the record, the best between the legs shots I have ever seen was a lob between the legs hit by Mardy Fish over ... I forgot who's head, but it was epic
It's between Agassi, Sabatini, Santoro, Noah and Ferrero. They all have hit quite a few good ones
Roddick all tha way....even though I don't like his game at all.
I want to say coria but paradon's shot was just pwnage!
Ferrero hit two sweet ones in the US Open that he lost to Roddick in the finals.
Nope. The original was Guillermo Vilas many years before Noah's time.
Roddicks through the legs is it the best he does it all the time
Yes,Vilas was the first one to develop that shot.In spanish they named this shot 'lagranwilly',(the great Willy) just because of Vilas nick name,Willy
i think santoros is good along with other trick shots but paradorns shot was INCREDIBLE.(125 mph?)
between the legs is more important than the serve ya'll
Santoro...come on he is a freakin magician and the most fun to watch
Gabriella. That's why they called it the Sabatweeny for a long while there when people would hit it.
I thought Safin hit another great backhand down the line and Federer fell while trying to hit it, and Safin put it away?
My pick would be Ferrero and Sabatini. I have seen those two hitting it between the legs. Roddick does it well too.
Exactly ! Anyways, those legs made it worth many replays
joe, plus she wore a dress. Let's see A-Rod try that shot wearing one.
I miss the old days - brought a tear to my eye to see how many people appreciated Paradorn.
One of my all time favs back before everything exclusively became about numbers and goat conversations.
Roddick’s is really stiff and awkward, IMO. He’s just not a natural mover:
Federer’s is best; it’s not only a thing of beauty but he can execute it when it matters:
Nick’s running tweener at 6:10 — not too shabby:
It has to go to either Kyrgios or Sock
Still Fedr. 3 clean back facing tweener passes. 1 clean back facing baseline tweener winner, 1 clean front facing baseline winner and a bunch of good other ones. Doubt anyone else can match that output.
These days it's Fedr
Oh come on that was ages ago! What about that USO 09 tweener against Djokovic or year later again Dabul? Or the front tweener from Doha?!
Really unfair of you...
Between the leg volleys should be Ivanisevic
So the only title that Fed won after a tweener was...Doha.
