Who is ACTUALLY using a Extreme Series (w/o PJ)

Hi all,

recently i got an Microgel Extreme and loved playing with it. Saw some PROs using it on the tour and thought.. "hey! not bad"... then i realised that there have been many shouts for "Paintjob !!"

So my question is who is using a genuine Extreme series (MG or Youtek) racket??

All the pros I've seen using this paintjob seem to have racquets with typical elongated oval heads, not the relatively round head of the Extreme.

Yap i think there was a topic on this somewhere in 2007/2008. With many pictures of supposed Extreme series PRO users, showing oval heads frame.

But that was a long time ago. Not sure if any if them eventually changed to the actual Extreme rackets....

Youzhny was also reported using PJ instinct. Can anyone confirm?> :confused:
 
Okie thanks. that clears for Youzhny. What about other players that are 'using' Youtek Extreme at this current time.

Kuznetsova, Azarenka, Gusquet and some others.
 
Youhezny, Lubijic, Tomic al use the Extreme Pro. Azerenka did, but now seems to have a more oval hoop. Gasquet uses the Instinct with an Extreme Pro pj. Youhezny used to use an Instinct but switched to the Extreme Pro when it came out. Kuzy uses the Extreme Pro, too. See Greg Raven's measurements of hers.
 
Kuznetsova uses a special lay up Extreme. Azarenka, Gasquet and Paul Capdeville, whom I've also played, use Instincts. Bernard Tomic used to use a real Extreme before switching to the YT Radical. Ljubicic uses an Extreme (although not the YT version his racquet is painted like) and there are several women on the WTA tour who use real Extremes.

I'm surprise how they all used LM Instinct Tour XL, when there are so many newer technologies, FXP, MG and the recent Youtek.

Anyone have an explanation to share? Thanks

When Ljubicic signed with HEAD he really started using a racquet from the Extreme Pro Mold with his own lay-up.

I love Full Polystar Energy at 24kgs, Hybrid of Redcode in the mains and syngut in the crosses, Isospeed baseline spin 17 and a multifillament/Gosen in the crosses (i use Pro's Pro Comet Power it's cheap and great).

i thought tomic uses the YT radical?

Probably a custom layup, meaning in the same shape as an Extreme, but with different materials, or like the Head PT series, coming out very light so that it can be customized heavily.
