One has a booming serve the other groundstrokes. If they were to be tested in physical strength. Who would be the stronger one?

I am pretty sure Wawrinka. He is a little (since he isn't that tall) powerhouse. Super strong torso and legs. It is one reason he gets so much power with pretty poor technique on all shots other than the backhand to some degree. His serve and forehand technique are both laughably bad yet he gets a ton of power on both.

I am pretty sure in a physical fight of sorts that Wawrinka would easily beat Roddick, Federer, Djokovic to a pulp. Nadal and maybe Murray would give him a tougher fight.

So he's 5'11", not 6'0" like they all say?

Wow, that's short. If he's 6'0" he would definitely be hyuuge. But at a portly 5'11", personally at 5'8" I would probably be towering over the guy.

Wawrinka's forehand is technically fine - laughably bad? I'd love to know what is so bad about it. His backhand is technically fantastic for easy power as he uses far more torso rotation compared to how the one-hander is traditionally taught. His serve is too open which is the major flaw - as it's harder to disguise and hit the wide serve - but generally most serve power comes from the wrist anyway. One reason he gets a lot of power on his groundstrokes his because he gets on the front foot more often than the average player because he stands so far back. Not necesarily because of his strength.

Pound for pound athletic strength I'm taking Roddick all day. The guy was a specimen and people forget just how explosive and powerful he was in his 02-04 days. Generating 250km/h serve and had a massive forehand.
