Teacher won 8 singles titles in his career, and his best showing at any other slam was the Wimbledon quarterfinals in 1982.

The field he faced in winning the Aussie Open is why I give Teacher the nod over guys like Gaudio and Johansson. (And at least Edmondson beat Newcombe in the finals).

Chang's game is miles better that Gaudio. Chang could probably beat Gaudio on clay. All the other surface would definetely favour Chang.

He beat Andreev (the last guy to beat Nadal on clay before his streak) in the 4th round, Hewitt in the quarters, and Nalbandian in the semis, ALL in straight sets. In fact, he destroyed Hewitt 6-3, 6-2, 6-2, and he bageled Nalbandian. He also took out Canas in the 1st round.

I was disagreeing that Gaudio shouldn't have been in a GS final.

In any case, I'd hardly call Edberg one of the greatest on red clay, and I'm pretty sure Hewitt will indeed get into the Hall of Fame (5 years after he retires). He's still playing, remember?

And, yes, Andreev on clay. How many people can say they've ever beaten Nadal on clay? After Andreev beat Nadal on clay, no one else was able to beat Nadal on clay for the next 81 straight matches. So, yes, Andreev on clay.

You are a fanboy masquerading as a half-objective poster. Stich and Henman were players who had most of their success at Wimbledon. Sure, Stich made a RG final, but he and Chang played in an era when Boris Becker was making clay court finals. Bringing up Henman in an argument regarding the strength of the clay court field only reveals how biased towards the 90s you truly are, and that you will never view the modern game with even a hint of objectivity.
