Who misses the 80's saxophone in music?

G.O.A.T.
I do at least. A good chunk of my MP3s are 70s and 80s music and a large portion of them had that sax playing. Went so well with R&B, contemporary adult, pop, rock, ballads, movie soundtrack instrumentals, jazz funk, etc.

I don't know what exactly happened after the 80s. Maybe it was overused? Still that sax had a ways of soothing, energizing, making you feel lost in the music... or some combination of them.

Feel free to post stuff.

Baker Street:

Winding your way down on Baker Street
Light in your head and dead on your feet
Well another crazy day, you'll drink the night away
and forget about everything

This city desert makes you feel so cold
It's got so many people but it's got no soul
And it's taken you so long to find out you were wrong
When you thought it held everything

You used to think that it was so easy
You used to say that it was so easy
But you're tryin', you're tryin' now
Another year and then you'd be happy
Just one more year and then you'd be happy
But you're cryin', you're cryin' now

Ugh

So so so glad the 80ies are gone.

Mullets, mustaches, awful fashion, even more awful hairstyles, girls hair looking like an exploded pillow... combined with incredibly awful music.

Springsteen has spoken about how some music people early on warned him that if he brought "the big man" and his saxophone into the band, he wouldn't be taken seriously as a rocker. He made out okay.

There sax was built for cheese. There is no such thing as safe sax.

The sax in Careless Whisper was epically perfect.
