Who owns Donnay?

Great product not good company that runs it out of NYC...
However there are soo may great products these days that it would require miracle + good customer service for them to get ANY traction and I don't believe in miracles and they don't have good customer service so...
It’s a great product under the worst manager I’ve ever dealt with. It wouldn’t take a miracle, just new leadership.

Donnay has been owned by Sports Direct International in the UK. Sports Direct had been taken over by Fraser’s Group. Donnay tennis licenses the name Donnay from Sports Direct, they have no involvement in Donnay Tennis Racquets. That’s xenecore that has the license for Donnay Tennis Racquets.

Received a reply from Sports Direct and they’re no longer involved with Donnay.

The top crosses are virtually impossible to install if you don't weave'em before starting the mains. If you do that you'll be fine. I have never seen such a tight bumper guard with so badly blocked holes.
That’s bizarre

I believe it would take a miracle with big 4 dominating and prince tecnifibre Solinco Dunlop Volkl Pacific fighting for scraps.

I almost bought a few 2012 Pro One 16x19's a long time ago. Even then I thought their customer service was awful and I found the prices on their rackets laughable. For a company trying to make a comeback they were trying to charge like at least 50 more per racket than the most expensive competitor.

If you thought they were bad in 2012 you should see how bad they are today. The person running it is absolutely incompetent, rude and unprofessional.

It's a shame, I was looking for a little flexier version of the Youtek Prestige Pro I was using at the time at the Pro One looked perfect on paper. Luckily for me the TFight 315 Limited came out a year later accessibly and affordably and fit the bill perfectly as well.

Howie Mathews (aka tennis menace) is running the brand right into the ground. I’ve never done, or I should say, attempted to do business with someone so rude, ignorant and completely unprofessional. The emails I saved would get anyone fired. I was playing with and promoting the racket. Wanted to buy more. NEVER again! Don’t even consider buying from this company. He’s not fit to run a lemonade stand.
he’s the worst!! so freaking rude and his grommet prices are a joke

He’s a grifter. He’s involved in all kinds of buying and selling over the internet. Donnay is clearly a side project for him. His username is “tennis menace” and “tennis haven” on different online sites.
He aptly named himself because he is a menace

the racquets are for sale on amazon :D
Yes, I noticed that too. Perhaps removing the "menace" from the transaction will allow for slightly better sales. On who owns Donnay, I have 5 Donnay Pro One OS Ext 105 and they are incredible sticks. Still play with them to this day.

Has anyone has any luck with communication with website? I've emailed them directly, messaged them through the website, messaged the Amazon seller page and called the only working number they have on their website, 0 response. I'm trying to buy grommets for my Pro One Octacore 107, but they don't offer them on their website. They offer grommets for everything else, but not the 107.

i’ve found them to be responsive but if all else fails i would just use POG grommets and modify them where needed. i did that to the original yellow/blue donnay pro one

I checked the website today and it's been updated to include an ordering option for the 107. It would appear they got my messages and added the grommets to the website. Got 4 sets on the way.

Are these only available in grips 2 and 3?

If you order from Amazon you're limited to grip 2 or 3 at 295g. If you order direct from the website you can choose any grip size and select between 295g, 305g or 320g. I've been playing the 305 and it plays extremely well, very much like the 1991 model, just lighter.

How old ( what year) are the Donnay Pro One OS Ext 105 models you have and are using?

They were released about a dozen years ago and I brought them new 2 years after. The best serving, best slicing, and best volleying racket I ever used. The 27.5" frame is nimble, but does need some lead tape on big balls at the net. Excellent power but can get launchy on big cuts, especially on the forehand side. Hopefully, I can locate a few more.

Thank you for the info. Donnay made so many different racquets with similar names it makes it difficult to find the exact racquet you are looking for, IMO. It sounds like a great racquet and one I would like to find as well. I tried looking it up to see a photo of it but could not find a pic. It seemed to pull up everything but that model.
