I still think a bigger headsize, say 95'', would make things much easier for him.
I think that it is interesting that the two players who have earned 14 Grand Slam titles both played with racquets with head sizes of 90 & 85 sq inch.

Top advocates that think Fed needs to switch to a different frame:
1) sureshs (though he did state that the only advice he would give Fed for the final was "get a good night's sleep.")
2) The artist formerly known as NBMJ.
3) King of Aces
Quite an exclusive club.
He is doin quite nicely the way it is .. anyone with a brain can see that. if he should use a 80 sq inch he would still rule if no wind or djoko rafa or murray is around .

If I am not mistaken, you and Mr. Geoff have a flight to book . . .

And don't forget Laver's and Borg's 65 sq. in. wood racquets, Connors' tiny steel racquet, and Lendl's tiny graphite racquet. The 2 best players in history use small frames (Sampras & Federer). Doesn't that say anything to you?

Two weelks ago Fed needed a new coach, a new racquet, and to retire.
Now he is the "greatest in the history of the game."
Some people sure are groupie bandwagon-jumpers.

i stuck with it through all the difficult months, i always knew he had it in him.
Haas gave me fits, though
, and to switch to a two handed backhand if he has any chance to catch Pete.
.
You are crazy if you think Roger will change to a two handed backhand. That shot in his game is so beautiful to watch and is perfectly executed. Some might say that it lets him down but if you actually watch him you would see that he hits many winners off it.

Only thing I would say Roger should change is get some custom extra fine like 19 gague strings and maybe string a bit tighter.
He would have to have 20 rackets in his bag because he would be snapping strings right left and center. He has fine tuned his racket. I have tried his racket with his string set up within the tension range he uses and also going up to high 50s to low 60s. Going up higher made the racket play much stiffer and the sweet spot greatly shrank. Federer knows what strings he needs/wants.
The K90 does have a fairly large spot for a mid, as the above poster kindly states.
The beam width on both the nCode 90 and the K90 are the same at 17mm. It's also stated as such on Wilson's website and on Wilson's spec sheets. I've also measured many of them to confirm this. The sweet spot on the K90 makes the sweet spot on the N90 feel like it is about the size of a dime. I guess the change in string pattern and beam thickness is what enlarged the sweet spot.

.........Is it worth switching frames now? Maybe....... why not use a bigger frame and make life easier before retirement?.
Oh my god, Just kill this thread. Look dummy, he's been playing with the same racquet the whole time. Changing of racquets is only for the public so they can buy his "new" racquet. He hasn't changed anything. Maybe his strings and that's it. He's been using the same custom racquet he's been using since he's started. Let's say he did change racquets, and he's been playing this crappy for the past year and a half. Wouldn't you assume that he would change back to his old racquet from 2004 and just keep the same paintjob as the kfactor 90? Hmmm... use some logic.
On the other hand, why not use a bigger frame and make life easier before retirement?
