That wasn't typical of their other 2008 clay matches, where Federer had been a break up in both sets in the 2008 Monte Carlo final before Nadal won 7-5, 7-5, and Federer had led 5-1 in the first set of the 2008 Hamburg final before Nadal won 7-5, 6-7, 6-3.

Thats true, only Soderling has beaten peak nadal or a near peak Nadal.... nobody else has, not even DJoko, not even Federer, both of them are overrated on clay. Djoko should not be having 3 frenchs, he had 1 french on his 34th birthday and suddenly in old age he wins 2 more, that is as ridiculous as it gets.
