G.O.A.T.
I feel it is a close call between Marie, Tuco Salamanca, Walter's Teenage son & that Ted Beneke fella..... all 4 of them were really cringe to me.

Ted without a doubt, that sucker made mad every time I saw him.

Ted deserved what he got, pathetic fellow owed money to IRS and instead of doing the right thing by clearing his name & skyler's he buys a Mercedes with the money gifted to him, really cringe guy. Got what he deserved.

Marie is very cringe too, make no mistake, the woman is a disgrace throughout the show, she just refuses to keep her useless mouth shut...speaks a lot....is a shoplifter too...petty thief. She provokes Hank in season 5 to go after Walter instead talking him out of that.... hypocritical woman....

Yeah, Marie was awful, Skyler not likable but Ted was a pos, that awfully comic fall of his was exactly what that character deserved.

Never saw it. But I liked Better Call Raul Saul.

What the heck this thread is doing in GPPD or how VAMOS got into this thread is a mystery.

Everyone hates Skyler, but she was the voice of reason, and she's useful for suspense and intrigue.

Skyler is not that a bad character at all, despite her whining she actually put up well with Walter, supported him with the gambling story, laundered money via the car wash and so on, she was far more tolerable than her insufferable sister Marie and her son who had cerebral palsy.

1. Walter - annoying POS the whole way through the show
2. Ted - Bought a Mercedes instead of paying off IRS
3. Marie - Got others in trouble because of her stealing and also lying about it.
4. Skyler - Although justified, I did find her to be generally cold

I personally found Tuco to be a colorful character, the actor did a good job and the character provided a lot of the buildup in season 2.

Did not like Ted’s or Marie’s character too much.

Gretchen and Elliot, of course.

Hope they are still living in fear.
But they did nothing wrong in reality... Walter made up a story in his head of them making him leave the company and them profiting millions off his work because of it, but it was 100% his decision to leave.

Oh no, you didn't miss anything. I guess it's mostly down to Elliot being annoying, having one of those faces.

If I had to choose somebody that was actually evil then I'd probably have to go with Lydia.
Yeah I can see that. There was that scene with Elliot where he, a grown adult, was opening his birthday presents in front of everyone...

I liked characters in this order ...

Tier 1 : Great Characters who were entertaining in their own ways

- Walter White
- Hank Schrader
- Saul Goodman
- Gustavo Fring

Tier 2 : Good characters which might be grey shaded but were entertaining, never a burden on the audience

- Jesse Pinkman
- Lydia
- Jane Margolis
- Todd
- Jesse's junkie friends
- Skyler
- Tuco Salamanca (pos but entertaining )
- Mike Ehrmantraut

Tier 3 : Insufferable characters who were a burden on the audience

- Jesse's parents
- Ted Beneke
- Walter's Teenage Son [second worst]
- Marie [worst personality in the show]

Somehow I know this without ever watching. Shows that are hyped to the moon usually suck.

You donno anything without watching .... Breaking Bad is the greatest Tv show or one of the greatest.... right up there in Game of Thrones / Friends tier .... If someone says Breaking Bad i cringe/overrated then they don't know anything about good tv shows....

Calling Breaking Bad overrated/cringe is like calling your hero Rafael Nadal overrated..... it would be that lame to do so.

I tried to get into Game of Thrones and again it wasn't all that

GOT takes a whole season to get into unfortunately, and the the last 3 seasons are so bad that I never recommend people watch it anymore. Breaking bad only takes 1-3 episodes I think. Anyway my favourite show is Dexter

GOT is truly great because of its politics which is complex, there are 9-10 houses in that, they have their own politics, every character is nicely written, the display of human emotions in the raw way, it is a great show. In its genre it is the GOAT. In Breaking Bad's genre Breaking Bad is the GOAT, endless drama.... no wonder BB is rated 9.5 and GOT is rated 9.2 on IMDB.

My fav is "Supernatural"

Dexter was too gruesome for me, just like Hannibal ...eww.....too much killing and for no reason at all. Looked sadistic to me. It could be disturbing as well, killing for no reason, there should be purpose for killing someone otherwise it is pure madness.

Well Dexter wasn't killing for no reason. He had to satisfy his own psychopathic urges or he would go insane, but what makes the show good is that he's still somehow likeable despite that. He makes sure that he directs his urges towards people who arguably deserve to be killed. Aka only people who have murdered others.

Dexter Morgan has a good personality and looks good, thats also a reason why some people like him. If he was an ugly hideous type personality then people would find him impossible to like.

If a serial killer like Dexter looks like this then I doubt anyone will like him.

You could say that about literally anyone attractive. People are shallow, yeah I know

I watched it at the time it was getting released. Everyone in friends circles talked about it so I just did it as a conversation starter.
Idk what it is with TV shows but when people hype something to the moon, I automatically know it won't be for me. Tried it with True Blood and Game of Thrones etc and always like "meh" lol. I have zero interest in Squid Game bc of how it blew up. I'm kinda curious about Stranger Things but I feel I wouldn't like that either bc of the intergalactic hype

Unfortunately with Dexter, as likeable as he was, a few innocent people were being killed indirectly, as a result of his vigilante justice.

It's objectively a well made TV series, a great one even. The only argument I see is someone not liking the genre or the plot.
