Federer lost to Stakhovsky, must be total mug as well lol.

But Hewitt isn't Federer. Federer has loads of Wimbledon titles to build up credit and has had decent competition for his finals. Hewitt played Choker Henman and Dunkin' For Donuts Nalbandian for his title. Dunk's was actually playing his first grass court event too.

Are you that much in denial that Hewitt is an overrated tennis player that you will argue against the premise that his W02 draw was weaker than cobwebs?

Hewitt is rated. Same peak level as Murray in BO5 but less consistent.

Same peak level as Murray?

Are you trying to tell me Hewitt beats Djokovic at US Open 2012 and Wimbledon 2013?

Murray's peak level is clearly better than Hewitt. I think Hewitt is better than Ferrer, but worse than Murray in terms of peak level.
Probably not USO 2012 but I could see several players of Hewitt’s caliber beating Wimbledon 2013 final Djokovic. The fact that Murray took him out in straights and not four or five sets says all you need to know about Djokovic’s level.

I don't see why Hewitt couldn't beat 12 USO Djokovic. Murray probably has a worse resume than Roddick and Hewitt at the USO and certainly no reason to think he had a higher peak level, as that's not his forte. Not like his 2012 USO had any particularly impressive matches either besides schooling Raomug.

Because Hewitt has never beaten anyone at Djokovic's level in their prime
Because Djokovic plays at a level Hewitt can't

Has Hewitt ever beaten anyone at a major that he wasn't supposed to?

Hewitt has never displayed any kind of tennis to make me think he could beat Djokovic of 2011+

I mean if Nishikori and Murray can beat Djokovic at the US Open and Stan can get uncomfortably close (not counting 2016) 3 straight years in Djokovic's prime, clearly it can't be too difficult.

All three of those guys would have 0 slams between them if they were born in the same year Hewitt was.

But you've literally picked out a couple of losses from Djokovic. Hewitt lost to Karlovic. A guy with one shot.

Please don't compare Wawrinka's game to Hewitt. One has weapons to of mass destruction and the other doesn't.

Hewitt would need Djokovic to play awful. I still don't see it happening.

Djokovic played awful in the final rounds of the USO 3 years in a row and if Fed was just a bit better in 2015 we might be talking about 4. 2016 I'll ignore if he was injured but that would make it 5.

Like I said, Wawrinka's WMD would net him 0 majors if he was born in 1981.
