No, we saw his performance at the Australian Open, he could easily just drop out of all slams and start taking 250s and secure most titles. He’s definitely had plenty of time to do that over the past five years, I don’t understand why he didn’t.
Because 250s are irrelevant to be GOAT

1 Slam is better than 20 Mickey mouse tournaments

I think in the grand scheme of things that having the most unique records and as many of them as possible is key

That’s how you hold onto legacy because no one‘s going to single-handedly beat all those records

Novak‘s not unique because he has the most slams. He’s unique because he has the most records and he did it across multiple eras

1 more Slam title would make the record safer

Yes, I’m sure that would’ve worked for Pete samples as well :-D

And again it’s been how many years since Novak has won a slam when he could’ve made other records

You have to be able to change gears and be dynamic and make progression where and when you can like he did at the Olympics

in the last 7 Slams he has 2 finals and 4 semis, losing to Alcaraz x3, Sinner x2, Zverev and freshly M1000 winner Popyrin

He's not far, he can do it. I still believe. He would become the oldest champion of the last 117 years, that would be a huge achievement

He was busy in fighting for slams.
player of novak mindset will find more joy in fighting for slams rather finding easy way out like 250.
Yes one 250 here and there will do no harm as a warm up for slams but only 250s is not on the cards.
Roger never did that .
Rafa never did that.
Novak will also not go that way.
No disrespect to Jim courier he played till his 40s and his love for game was

I have no idea, so let me do this instead. Longest streaks (6 or more, there's a whole load that made 5) of two guys winning majors in the 100 years of the 4 grand slams, and who broke them.

Alcaraz and Sinner have now won 9 in a row.
Can Sinner extend their run to 10 and be just one shy of what Federer and Nadal achieved between 2005 and 2007?
:D

You're supposed to use capital letter for a surname as well.

Pete Samples.

I am not going to believe that roger played MM tournament to increase his titles.
Yes while approaching slam you play warm ups and that is fine for any fan.
Sometime tennis commitment require you to play smaller tournament.

Then why does Roger have so many and Novak has so few, it would appear that you are incorrect

Arthur Fils in RG. If we have hot weather conditions, i don't see how sinner won't have to play a 4 hour match once in the fortnight and so far he has been unable to win any of them.
Zverev has overplayed and will choke. Novak is 39 and injured, Alcaraz is injured , Jodar has not enough experience, fils and sinner are better than him right now. Shelton has not the movement and tennis IQ to win 7bo5 on clay. So it will only be between Fils and Sinner in RG this year. Fils had 2 sets points againt sinner 3 years ago on indoor HC. This is fils best surface and Sinner's worst one.
Fils remind me young and agressive Nole of 2007/2008. Fils was going toe to toe against peak Alcaraz in MonteCarlo last year. Fils will have the home crowd for him against sinner in RG

Possibly Zverev.
That's only if he plays aggressive and hits his spots. Sinner would have to either be injured or duplicate his awful 2/18 break point conversion from AO SF.
Those two are unlikely.
We just saw how he destroyed Fils at Madrid so not likely to happen either, at least not this year. I don't mind Fils winning slams to make it interesting.
