Who Will Be Top 10 At The End Of 2025

With over 10 players within 200 points of Djokovic, Miami could be the tournament where he drops out of the Top 10 in The Race. Wimbledon is likely his best chance to pick up significant points, and if he doesn't do well there, he will almost certainly begin sinking quickly.

He will play Miami, 1 more clay prep, Rome and RG before Wimbledon though.

He might once again surprise everyone, but I don't see him getting through a series of long grinding matches on clay and hard courts anymore, especially without a good draw, which becomes less likely as his ranking drops.
I am hoping the 3 straight losses jolts Djokovic to reality that he will have to win at the lower levels or just retire already. There is no middle ground left I feel. Let's see.

Will Rublev be really top 10 by the end of this year? He has 12 first round losses in last 52 weeks. Still somehow luckiest run to Madrid title and watered down Canada final gave him 1650 pts.

Blech...since the Italian Open last year he has made it past the 2nd round at a major or M1000...once!

Only the ATP Finals saved him.
Ruud has 9 first round losses in last 52 weeks yet he is fine. He lost in tournaments where he usually flops which is post us open.

Rublev has 12 first round losses. I literally had Fonseca as favorite in AO r1. This kid. Because Rublev is that bad day to day. 1650 pts from 2 weak tournaments. Don't you agree ?

Yes, Rublev is rubbish these days. Ruud has been getting away with this for longer I feel.

Either way, I am half-hoping Rune replaces at least one of them. Although he can bring his own poor play on many a day.

Yes. I am very sad Rublev is still in top 10. It's not just these days. Remember last year ?

I think rune and draper will move some of these guys out of top 8, Ruud Rublev Tsitsipas adm all old gen.

Only guy I hope stays in top 8 of these would be Medvedev.

They are all falling like flies in the early rounds of the last two tournaments, aren’t they?
This trend might continue with nearly all players in the Top 50 having a reasonable chance to beat any other player (perhaps outside of Sinner, but we'll see) on any given day. Before Bercy, there could be 20+ players with a chance to advance to the ATP Finals.

For me this reflects a very strong period in pro tennis especially when you consider how well players are playing to create the upsets of the top seeds. Others might look at the exact same results and conclude that it is a weak period. C’est la vie!

I agree - this is the beginning of a strong, deep era, and I think it will only get better.

Djokovic will easy accumulate pts to be in top 10 by end of US Open itself where he will end the year. Now will he play 2026 ? I don't know. Needs slam win.
Will he play enough tournaments? Avoid injuries? Nothing seems easy for him right now. Miami was the best draw he could hope for, and he didn't win. I think Wimbledon might determine whether he makes Top 10. Also, a lot might depend on how much the points are shared among an increasingly level field among the top 50 or so players. Maybe No. 10 will only need 2500 points this year, and there will be 20 players in contention going into Bercy.

Yes. And yes.

He has played 5 tournaments already. He will play full clay and grass season. After that though , he would have very little left in the tank.

Miami even without the draw he could reach the final , he dominated last 3 matches. And same will be issue on grass

Not in any order, and just basing on this season....

Alcaraz
Sinner
Medvedev
Ruud
Rune
Paul
Musetti
De Minuar
Zverev
Hurkz

Just based on those there defending and a few that have been progressively moving and improving.

I will add, I don't think Zverev will defend well so I think start of the 2025 season will flesh that out.

Medvedev is a bit of a weird one, but lots of season left and I expect he will pick up some points and defend others. With the run of M1000's going forward, and mostly R16 exits, he can pick up some points for sure. Wimby...we will see, but even more M1000's after he can definitely get points. And remember, he didn't have a single title last year that I recall and was still top 10.

Hurkz was my wildcard and thought he might break out, but probably not going to get close.

But Rune, Paul, DeMinaur, Musetti (and Meddy) are all on the cusp in points. Still like their chances.

1. Sinner
2. Alcaraz
3. Zverev
4. Djokovic
5. De maneur
6. Rune
7. Fils
8. Medvedev
9. Paul
10. Draper

Why?
- Draper will fail to defend USO SF and drop
But I think can maintain top 10 status.
- medvedev will get his act together come grass season where his flat style of play and going into USO swing to gain enough points to maintain top 10 ranking. Having him and Rublev here (potentially) in the top 10 is bold based off what I have seen so far. But I also feel the logic behind both is mental and both can get it together.
- we will see more consistency from Paul to lift into the top 10. I thought about putting Shelton here but too inconsistent for me. I see him gaining some points on clay and grass and USO season.
- Fritz is falling and he’s not going to defend that USO 1200 points that will drop his ranking.

@FlatShot_V and @nolefam_2024 are in the lead, with five others tied one off the pace. Fokina the only one in the Top 10 that no one picked.

This table seems wrong. 9 players only

Fokina is an interesting surprise, but I don't think he'll last much longer up there after clay season.

Still sticking by my Tiafoe and Rune predictions. The former is likely to pick up form comes US open season and Rune is so back.

Six players just outside the Top 10 are still alive in Madrid, so there should be a few changes this week. Mensik could finish the week at No. 2.

ATP Year End Rankings 2025

01. Alcaraz - 11000 points (will win 2 slams)
02. Sinner - 9000 points (will win 1 slam)
03. Zverev - 7500 points
04. Medvedev - 6500 points
05. Djokovic - 5000 points (will win 1 slam)
06. Ruud - 4100 points
07. Rune - 4000 points
08. Fritz - 3500 points
09. Rublev - 3400 points
10. Shelton - 3200 points

8 out of my top 10 are still ranked in the top 10, we'll see what it is at the end of the season.
