Who will benfit the most from Djokovic's departure ?

since Djokovic has left Australia, now there must be someone who will benefit the most from this event.
Who do you think will benefit the most out of this?
 
I glanced at the draw and there was no one who could have threatened Djokovic until the final. He may not need money but I am sure he is thirsty for one more slam.
Now he is gone so someone surely will get benefit from this event. Nadal is not the best player for this court so it will go to Mevedev or Zerev I guess.

Zverev vs Djokovic would've been epic in the semfinals. Likely a 5 set war.
 
Australia set a precedent of strict rule regarding vaccination. Do you think other countries will follow the suit?
 
I don't think he has to worry about US OPEN since by then, covid might be weakened enough and all countries probably opened up fully
but French open might still request vaccination, and even England still may ask vaccination. He can lose his opportunity to be the GOAT.
Only time can tell the result but it is quite interesting to see how it will unfold.
 
Hate generating journalists and their media companies have already benefited from the departure of Novak. The government is hoping they will get votes out of it in the next election from the less politically intellectually sophisticated types, but I have the feeling that this strategy might fail as more and more people realise what’s really going on.
Player wise you would expect Rafa to be the immediate beneficiary of Novak’s departure, but it could put him off because he may feel a bit awkward about the situation, it’s like when all the usual guys in your year group have moved on to the next semester and you are left on your own with the new young group that have their own social group and you don’t belong.

Djokovic should behave now, otherwise he can be banned for 3 years from Australia. Since he is deported, automatic 3 year ban will be applied to him, but there is always loophole for superstar like him
to be able to return to Australia with " right circumstances" that's what PM said.

He won't return. He played his last match at Rod Laver Arena thankfully.

i dont believe vaccinations will be needed from next year onwards. he will play next year. pandemic should be endemic by 2023 based on current science facts(but subject to change)
 
Why on earth do people think vaccines will not be needed in 2023?

Even though the Omicron variant is milder than previous strains it can still kill or make you very seriously ill (much more so if you're unvaccinated) and there's no guarantee a more severe variant won't emerge.
 
Has anyone who thinks Djokovic would be allowed in unvaccinated to Far Eastern countries actually looked at their entry requirements?

Only the time will tell. Investors, the Big Pharma with its products, polititians with their assertive approach? Hard to believe that regular people who'll have to endure the multiple jabs or lose their freedom/jobs will enjoy any advantages. Novak, however, will most certainly not be the beneficiary.

lol east Asian countries are even more tight on this stuff. China for eg is striving for the impossible goal of 0 infections.

Perhaps Djokovic can wave wads of cash around and get in that way, but if that doesn't work, no way he's going to play without getting vaccinated.
