If things shape up as projected:

Thiem v. Del Potro (C-09)
Ralph (C-10,13) v. Dolgo
Dzum/Rub v. Goff/Guru
Fedr (C-04-08) v. Kohl

For Ashe I believe it's 3 women's matches and 2 Men's matches per day.

Thiem v. Del Po is the guaranteed night session match. I've already discounted the third mentioned match as they'll be on Armstrong for sure.

Which means who will get relegated to Arthur Ashe for the midday R16 match? Fedr or Ralph? If it's Ralph, will he complain about not getting to play on center?

As an aside note for the women, I think Kasatkina-Kanepi get demoted to Armstrong while the other 3 are on Ashe.

I suppose Kohl and Dolgo are good enough to warrant it playing on Ashe.

I just think Delpo-Thiem by far out the 4 is the best choice. But I do understand how much of a draw Fed-Rafa are.

I would have thought Rafa would have liked to get the hell out of there! I suppose playing with the constant buzz in your ears like you're in a David Lynch movie is preferable to sitting in the locker room staring out at the rain like you're in a Kurosawa movie.

Why is this forum obsessed with who is more popular?
You entitled to think that. But many of us are managers at businesses in the real world and know something about maximizing profits.

Putting Thiem - Delpo (and I like them both) sounds good, the old 'fresh faces' approach. But to the casual fan it's more like 'WTF' and off to another channel to watch something else. Not a great way to get more people watching the ads, that pay for the event.

Im not speaking only of this thread. Daily is something about the popularity contest. Cringe worthy

The question of 'obsession with popularity' only seems to be posed by those supporting the less popular one. Interesting :).

Very akin to the "There is no GOAT", when your candidate is a distant second, LOL.

Dont you never get tired of this subject?

Nadal and Federer will play on Ashe every time.

The event needs that SF to happen badly.

Nadal has only played once outside of Ashe since reaching #1 and that was because of rain, so his 2008 semi with Murray was on Armstrong. Federer has only played outside of Ashe once also since reaching #1, again because of rain, played Robredo on Armstrong. Djokovic and Murray regularly play on LA, even when Novak was #1, and even without Rafa in the tournament (2014). And FYI, Grandstand is apparently the number 2 court this year, which makes sense and Armstrong isn't completed and lacks the atmosphere that the old stadium has.

Moral of the story is Rafa and Roger will never again play outside of Ashe. Although clearly a woman's match should be moved for del Potro-Thiem. Have no idea why that hasn't been done.

Not bad, I hope Nadal loses :)
Its more in life than Federer and Rafa.

That was very difficult to read.
You lack compassion. You dont care about the one in trouble at the second floor at all. All you do is directing everything towards two very boring succsessful players that wipe their a.. with £££££££€€€€€€ every day.
