Who will replace each of the Big3?

No one will replace no one and there will not be a new Big 3 or Big 4. Big 4 was Federer+Nadal+Djokovic+Murray, even if 4 players become as consistant as them, they will be something else with another name.

IMO tennis will have multiple GS winners in the future like it is in WTA at the moment. Thiem, Zverev, Medvedev, Tsitsipas, FAA, Shapovalov, maybe other players to come

I feel the only obvious replacement is Medvedev for Djokovic. Very similar players, mentally tough. Both Ultrons. I think Medvedev will improve on other surfaces as well.

No one can replace Nadal. His game is to unique.

Federer is huge talent, but if you try to replicate his game, you'll end up a huge underachiver like Grigor Dmitrov. Nadal moved the game forward, and others like Djokovic and Murray tried to copy many of his attributes.

Now that is correct. Nobody ever played like Nadal. He has a unique style. Not necessary means it is the best style to play with, it's just different from all other players.

Technically speaking:

Stefanos = Federer
Thiem = Nadal
Medvedev = Djokovic
Zverev = Murray
Shapo = Wawrinka
Khachenov = Del Potro
Berrettini = Cilic
Opelka = Isner
De Minair = Ferrer
FAA = Hewitt

I’m totally setting these kids up for distaster by making these comparisons lol

Did Nadal move the game forward? Or did he usher in a generation of copycat spinners who would never amount to much because Nadal’s forehand is impossible to duplicate.

Nadal made the sport more physical. He was such an athlete, that people had to rethink their approach to training to beat him.

Djokovic used to be a guy who ran out of stamina and energy in matches. He worked to fix that and became a player who could go toe to toe with Rafa in 6 hour marathon matches. Murray became a fitness rat to keep up and win slams. Wawrinka did the same to become a slam winner. Nadal was able to beat opponents through long, brutal wars of attrition, and players had to alter their games to keep up with what he was doing. Nadal forced Djokovic to become Ultron.

Everyone knew Medvedev was the real deal when he could go nearly 5 hours against Nadal, and look almost fresher at the end (even though he lost). That is what you need to be to win slams now.

Medvedev for Djokovic.
Thiem for Nadal.
XXX for Federer?
Well Medvedev for Djoko as close as we've seen, but Zverev at his best is also like a stretch Djoko with a massive serve and 0.0 volleying skills

Thiem definitely for Nadal on clay and generally they match up against opponents similarly though Nadal handles big servers better.

Tsitsipas easily for Federer

These are stylistic replacements and of course FAA, Shapo, and Zverev with the three above will do a fine job carrying the load for the tour once the Big 3 have retired.

It's nice to see people making threads about the young players, because I think all of these threads about the thirtysomethings show that people are headed for a crash when they realize that the era is over. I remember how disappointed I was when I knew the Sampras generation couldn't beat the Hewitt/Safin youngsters anymore. That's what it's going to be. Threads about the big 3 already seem very dated to me, like spoiled fruit. The older guys can't play regularly anymore and don't dominate like they used to. It's down to the majors and not much else. Very soon it won't even be that.
