ummm the level of play doesn't increase in that 2nd set... :|
these players can do better !

allez marcos ! ;)

Ljubicic is on the court so don't expect a good match

He's so 1 dimensional. He approaches the net more in the 2nd set and Baggy can't play against that very well. Too bad.

Are we watching the same match? I see pretty nice points from both players. The level of play is good.
And Ljubicic started approaching the net from the 1st game. He never plays serve and volley, and he had 6/8 net points won in the 2nd.
If he was at the level he played at the whole tourney Baghs would bagle him. Ljubicic's form went up. And Baghs was pulling great serves. I'm sorry I didn't go to the final, it's much better than I expected.

The AO affected my judgment

well, it's a tight match... but i'm curious to see the winners/UE ratio for both players ! (i have the impression to see many many UE...)
i expected better from both.
but it's true ljubicic plays a bit better since the middle of the 2nd set. so now it's up to marcos to play better too ! ;)

I can't believe this!! Stupid connection!!!!

Ela Marko!!:D

Cro,I was hoping you would go to provide us a first-hand impression of the match. And many photos :p :(

Aarrghh Marcos! Can't convert bps to save your life!!!!!!!!

I don't remember the whole match..but they both had 9 UEs in the 2nd set. I think. It could have been 10, but I'm pretty sure it was the same number for both.

Agh 2 break balls for Marcos.

Anyways, Ljubicic has been playing terribly till today. His match against Koubek in round 2 gave me a headache. I've seen better tennis on a challenger. Compared to that he is Federer today.

Well I was thinking should I or shouldn't I go....at the end I stayed home cause I predicted Marcos kicking Ljubo's butt. I'm pleased to say I was wrong. :-)
As much as I don't like your guy, now I'm sorry I didn't go see him live. He can play. :-)

Baghdatis is attempting a suicide here :(

How did he miss that point now while at 30-15? :x

Well at least he compensated with a very good fh to take the game.

bravo marcos !!! :D
cool to see him "bounce back" after the AO disappointement... now he has to win in marseille (good field this year... there is even hewitt) ! ;)

The field for Marseille is :o The best in ages!Hewitt plays because he is going to be in Europe for DC so he thought maybe he could go collect some first round money anyway! :p Are you going there?:)

Ela Marco!

Marco vs Ljubo?
I think Baghdatis takes a 2-0 h2h into this final.
Are they televising it anywhere? Web?
You hip kids, hook us up with a link.
Mille grazie!

once again after everybody knows the result, the poll changed with a few votes for Baghdatis,,,,losers!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I'm one of your losers....I'm way behind! I was one of the ones who voted for Marco today.
Did not know it was already over. Did not know it had even started.
I guess I'm just a typical American who assumed it would be a night match, central European time.

Well, it sounds like a well-played, close match. If anyone knows of a link, hook me up.

Thanks.
