The only reason I am curious about this is I was curious to discover how many slams Gabriela Sabatini, the women with only 1 slam out of 18 slam semis, would now have. Breaking it down I would see:
1987 French- Sabatini or Navratilova. I pick Sabatini 60/40 I guess, very close call.
1988 Australian Open- Evert
1988 French Open- LOL Provis maybe if she plays Zvereva in the finals rather than the semis. Maybe Navratilova now as she no longer plays Zvereva the same day she lost. No idea really.
1988 Wimbledon- Navratilova
1988 U.S Open- Sabatini
1989 Australian- Sabatini. Sukova gave Graf a much tougher battle, but Sabatini is just a bad match up for her.
1989 Wimbledon- Navratilova
1989 U.S Open- Navratilova or Sabatini. I will go with Navratilova 60/40 this time. Lets say they split the 87 French and this one.
1990 French Open- Maleeva
1990 Australian Open- Sukova
1991 Australian Open- Novotna
1991 French Open- Sanchez; Sabatini was bad here
1991 Wimbledon- Sabatini
1991 U.S Open- Capriati
1992 Australian- Fernandez
1992 French- Sabatini
1992 Wimbledon- Sabatini
1992 U.S Open- Sanchez
1993 French- Fernandez
1993 Wimbledon- Novotna
1993 U.S Open- Sukova. Sabatini might have but I am pretty sure Sukova was playing better at this event.
1994 Australian Open- Sanchez
1995 French- Martinez
1995 Wimbledon- Novotna
1995 U.S Open- Martinez; Sabatini was playing better but Martinez owned her at this point, would win despite that her form at the Open was crappy.
1996 Australian- Rubin
1996 French- Sanchez
1996 Wimbledon- Novotna; Sanchez was never beating Novotna on grass, ever, even if mediocre form.
1996 U.S Open- Hingis; pretty sure she would have beaten Seles in the final as it was, if she had gotten past Graf.
1999 French Open- Hingis
So by my count that is 7 slams for Sabatini. She gains either the 87 French or 89 U.S Open (probably 87 French), 88 U.S Open, 89 Australian Open, 91 and 92 Wimbledon, 92 French. Interestingly just removing Graf, and even keeping Seles she probably wins all those except the 92 French, and has 6 slams now just by removing Graf. She might have had even more than that if you count 89 U.S Open, 93 U.S Open, 95 U.S Open, 93 French Open as chances too.
Sukova now has 2 slams, although Sabatini might have beaten her at the 93 Open. Technically she could have as many as 3 with the 89 Australian Open, probably a range of 1 minimum to 3 maximum.
Novotna probably has a whole bunch of Wimbledons now, atleast 4, and the 91 Australian Open where she beat Graf and Sanchez, but lost to Seles.
Martinez probably wins 2 slams in 95 now, maybe 3 if she beats Sanchez in the 95 Wimbledon final but she lost to her in the semis there.
Navratilova gains a couple additional Wimbledons to bolster her already insane record there.
