They are both great from the baseline and can blast you off the court. Carlos has more touch and is better at the net along with having better movement making him better suited for playing defense. Sinner is a better returner and server with more height suggesting that he might get even more of a serving edge in the future. Carlos seems physically stronger, but Sinner seems to be a hard worker who could catch up. They both are mentally tough with good self-confidence against their peers and even those higher ranked. Who will win more Slams in the future? VOTE!

Bonus question - will Sinner/Alcaraz win more or less Slams than Nadal/Djokovic in the next five years from 2023-2027?

I think Alcz has a little better all-court game and attitude, but Sinners is developing very well. I would say my gut reaction would just be Alcz, but we will see how Sinner ends the year. Suppose the same with Alcz.

Talent wise both Sinner and Alcaraz are about even. Though I think physically Alcaraz has the edge and that will pip the balance in his favor especially in slams as they are BO5.

2023-2027, I hope and believe Sinner/Alcaraz will win more slams than Nadal/Djokovic. Starting AO 23 I expect the new gen to start beating Novak/ Rafa in slams.

It’s such a close call - both have huge potential and it seems Carlitos is slightly ahead in realising it. Sinner might have something to say about that though given their last to meetings. I think we are witnessing the birth of the next big rivalry. This year or next Djokadal might well need to raise their levels again.

I think Alcaraz. He's had a spectacular year-to-year progression so far, much room to improve yet, and the right kind of team behind to temper his wildness.

Besides he's two years younger and has already shown great resilience.

As much as i like sinner, i cant put him in the same category than alcaraz, alcaraz has shown he can play good day in day out and win multiple titles no problem, matches between them are close, but that doesnt mean sinner can do equally as well against the rest of the field, i see carlos a step above in talent, sinner is good from the baseline and on return, what else? Carlos has an all court game with greater margin for improvement in all areas, plus is a year younger and has already beat great players

ROFLMAO. Sinner wouldve crushed the midget if he had gotten 10% more serves in at the USO

Thats nosense, thats like saying carlos would have won in 3 sets if he had converted any of the 3 set points he had in the second set, head to head is 2-2, and carlos won a challenger agaisnt him, so it would be 3-2, plus he is a year younger, has won masters 1000 and a slam, when sinner wins his first m1000 we can start talking, theres a reason carlos has won all those titles compared to sinner, if you dont wanna see it its on you

No more 20 slams or more. Sinner and Alcaraz will not overtake Sampras's 14 combined, or Borg's 11 or even Agassi's 8.

How i see it, Sinner is a serve away from crushing the midget

Yes he has achieved all that, and yet Sinner started tennis years after he did and you think Alcaraz has more room for improvement? Sinner was a professional skier up until age 13 and was a MP away from crushing that midget, imagine what he's gonna be like 2-3 years from now. Sinner has wayyyyy more room for improvement

Much more, obviously.
Nadal and Djokovic will not win Majors after 2023.
Maybe, Joker can play one last GS final in 2024, but like Federer in Wimbledon 2019, he will lose it.
:D

Just the fact you call a player "midget" makes me want to stop discusssing

Yup, with more potent serving, i think the shorter of the two will be holding up runner up plates
Why do you think the Italian could not beat Alcaraz in NY after defeating him at Wimbledon and do you think he will make the definitive leap in quality to start dominating on non-natural surfaces?

First serve percentage and Alcaraz seems to return better on HC. But by next year, Sinner will blast the midget off all surfaces

I think Aclaraz will have a very short career, so Sinner will win the most slams based on that fact alone

Noone has made any money by underestimating Nadal and Djokovic at Slams they have participated in.

Let Sinner win a masters first. Guy hasn't even been able to do that while Carlos at 19 has a slam and 2 masters already.

Just because you bloom early doesn’t mean you’ll be better. Alcaraz looks more like 21 than Sinner does 21, so time will tell

Sure, but people act like Sinner being 21 is a liability. You're not chopped liver at 21.

No point in giving Sinner many slams when he's yet to win a big title as of now.

Yeah true, I myself am disappointed as a fan, thought he’d bag either Canada/Cinci and he really let me down, the draw was built for him to win it and he threw it away. Dude legit played an uninspiring match against PCB and threw it away
