Djokovic is injured and has declined a lot in 2024. We will see where he will be when he comes back.
Nadal is declined a lot since 2022 RG already.

For the next 5 years, who will be the next in line for winning grand slams.

Alcaraz is 21.
Sinner is 22.
Medvedev is 28 Zverev 27 Tsitsipas 26 and Ruud 25

New guys are under 20 like Fonseca just 17 and Prizmic just 18. I don't think they will have huge difference for immidiete future.

Who wins slams in this era?
I see Zverev bagging a couple, Medvedev 1 and even Tsitsipas may get 1 RG. What do you guys think?

Outside of Alcaraz and Sinner the guys you listed are most likely. Could Rublev gate crash as an unlikely one slam wonder? Got big a game that with more consistency & variety could hurt the best. Winning 21 sets in a slam would be a big ask for him even with technical and tactical improvement.

At the back end of that 5 year period is Fonseca a Sinner v2.0 … big ball striker and similar physically? Think he is one to watch.

I started a thread on this that seems to have been deleted. I don’t think Alcaraz and Sinner are good enough to win all the Slams in the next few years and there will be plenty of opportunities for others. I can see the likes of Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Ruud, Zverev, Rune, Hurkacz, Fritz etc. winning one here and there. Maybe one or two for Djokovic also.

When the Big 3 players were good, one half of the tournament was eliminated as title contenders because they had to go through two of the Big 3 in the semi and final which was almost impossible. The other half typically had to beat a Big 3 player in the Slam final which was a hard task also. It is amazing how consistent the Big 3 were in reaching the later stages of all major tournaments on all surfaces.

Watch out for the lost Gen to get beaten like a drum from here time and time again at the majors . Once there is a mental scar, even slam winners like Agassi, Hewitt, Roddick and even RF , Nadal found it difficult to overcome

I think that Raz will dominate the tour. He will figure out how to play Sinner on fast courts. Don't know what to expect for Fonseca because I don't trust Brasilians in tennis.

So, maybe Carlos 10-12, Sinner 5-7, Meddy 1-2, Zverev 1, Ruud 1

I believe the guys not named Alcaraz or Sinner will get a slam.

1-2 for Medvedev & Zverev at USO or AO.
1 - Tsitsipas or Rune at RG
1 - Hurcasz or Kyrios at Wimbledon; one of these two but not both and if Nick returns.

I'm actually pulling for Zev just because the guy has worked hard and I see improvements. He needs to beat his opponent in straights not 5 sets.

Could Fis be another to look out for?
