Federer was close to winning against Anderson before an epic choke which he accustomed to at Wimbledon.Had he won then surely would have beaten isner but would he have beaten djokovic.

Djokovic would have won. 2018 Fed was nursing an injury.

2017/2019 Fed? A different story.
I've a different opinion here, gentleman.
Federer could and very well should have closed out Anderson in 3 sets. And isner for sure wasn't beating him. Djokovic would have had a much more fatigue and tiredness coming into the final (which he did have, but Anderson was even more tired than him) and Federer would have won in 4 sets at max.

Djokovic does not get tired that easy when in form. Federer would really have to turn up to win that fantasy final even if Djokovic is a bit tired.

I would agree if 2018 Fed weren't nursing an injury.

I love questions like this. If Federer was playing at a level that Federer was not playing at, how well would Federer have played? The answer is, as always, dependant upon one thing. How high you want to power him up in your fantasy? Super Saiyan 2, 3 or 4?

2018 Djokovic would be tired after his epic with Rafa.
We don't know that. Things could easily go different if Federer didn't lose to Anderson. The first semifinal wouldn't be that long, and maybe the second one would be played outdoors, and in one day.

For now I'm going by what actually happened. I already said 2018 Fed doesn't win.

Fed was injured, Djokovic would have won a presumptive final. He had not only a lower back issue but a numb right hand, as Severin
has discussed.

In that case, do you think Nadal wins , and loses to Fed in the final.

This is fantasy match, and we all know that, contrary to real matches, Fed always wins...

But, guys, this is Wimbledon final, Novak vs Federer... Fed can't win... even fantasy match...

So, Novak in 3 bakery sets... or in 5 sets, 6 hours, saving two match points on Fed serve, and two on his own serve... 40:15, and 15:40, off course...

In reality, Federer's 0-3 in Finals, so there can be no realistic interpolation that leads to a Federer victory!

If Djokovic was in usual return form, Federer would've very little chance, a la '15! If Djokovic couldn't return a lick, a la '19, he would lie in wait to win tiebreaks!

Fed always has a punchers chance.
He would of needed to come out like the Tazmanian devil and blow djokovic out in straights.
If you allow the parasite to attach to the host Fed struggles.

Federer would have most probably won after coming back from Nole leading 5-0 and 0-40 in the fifth set in the championship match, but I decided to vote Djokovic.

Federer's missed chance at another Wimbledon occurred not in '18, when both Djokovic and Nadal were still in the field.

It occurred in '16, when both Djokovic and Nadal were ousted and dusted! He had only to beat Raonic and Murray in the last 2 matches. He has 11-3 and 14-11 records over Raonic and Murray; so victory over either was not a given, as it actually turned out!

However Federer's best chance at any other Slam occurred at '14 USO, when he had only to beat Cilic and Nishikori for the title. He has 9-1 and 8-3 records over Cilic and Nishikori.

Federer beat Djoko in Wim 12 SF.
dumbass fanboys of Djokovic like you talk only about TBs in Wim 19, ignoring they split TBs in 14/15 and that federer has a clearly better record in TBs at Wimbledon than Djokovic does.

Federer had hand injury problem, that's why he'd probably lose to Djokovic of Wim 18. Not because of record in finals or Wim 15 or Wim 19 TBs,.

But the short memory dumbassery/la la land propaganda of Djoko fanboys like you is just pathetic to see, absolutely PATHETIC.

I was talking finals.

Let's see: in '12, Djokovic had won 1 Wimby, and hadn't met Federer previously at the tournament. In '18, things had changed quite a bit, don't you think?

only because that is convenient for you. You just want to pretend past his prime Federer beating prime Djokovic comfortably at Wimbledon in the semi in 12 didn't happen.

quote the rest of the post. You have the answer there.

Also lol @ that bold part. That is your excuse?
Have some shame for heaven's sake.

I've altogether different opinion. If Federer wins and assuming his semifinal with Isner doesn't go 6-7 hours, then Nadal wins the second semi.

And in a Federer Nadal final in 2018, Nadal wins because of superior form

Why? Because then the roof wouldn't be shut which helps Rafa. His semi with Djokovic was an extremely close one..with roof being open, Djokovic doesn't get that many free points on serve and Nadal should close out.

Even all said and done, Nadal had virtually two match points at 15-40 and Djokovic saved both, the second one with a terrific forehand pass. Also Nadal rushed to net too soon in my opinion

Anderson played better than USO despite marathon match. If Fed finishes it in 3 I give him 1% edge, 50.5%

Probably the only time he'd have a chance against Novak in a Slam Final.
