Who'll be willing to share their ignore list?

I have a hard time imagining that anything of what you said applies to Djokodalerer31.

Works perfectly fine for me.
I used to think that about that Kermit the Frog guy and a bunch of other people. I have seen dozens of gold posts since. They were either insightful or hilarious in their own way.

Yeah Djokodasomethingwhatever’s posts are rather crap and I stopped reading his posts but I don’t wanna miss it out when he actually says something relevant/funny. When I’ll see a lot of likes on one of his posts (if ever) that’s when I’ll know I should read it.

So far it’s been easy to "ignore" his posts, but if people wanna ignore other people, it’s fine with me.

You're the female here, I'm just a listener.

How was your day?
No, I don't like that. I prefer a two-way conversation.

Anyway, my day was okay. Lots of work but I had loads of fun here due to the upgrade. I ended up eating a slice of cake after lunch so was really bothered by it the whole afternoon. Then on the motivational wall (we have it on every floor at work) I wrote with a purple pen (there were a few options), 'We live in a realm of possibilities. Whatever we imagine is possible, it is possible.' This is because we are aiming something big by 2022 so everyone is encouraged to make that goal as we'd achieve it as One Team. And our slogan is, Let's Do This! lmho

But we don't sign our name next to our statements as they need to remain anonymous. Someone wrote, "Work is Home!!!" And I came very close to writing, "At ease soldier, let's not get ahead of ourselves here." Tomorrow I will write, "Work causes balance. The challenges that we face every day enable us to go to the next level and achieve new heights. So yea, let's do this!" It's fun, really.

So those are the highlights of my day. I should probably ask how was your day. lmho

But see, I wrote a somewhat lengthy post to you and I was also so very sweet, no?

And I am sure in no time someone will post, "Get a room, you two!"

I may have to go in a bit though. Having coffee with sis and her boytoy.

Outside of work if I'm not playing tennis or going out with friends on the weekends I'm following the charts/news of every major market. I think we're about to see a global crisis soon, maybe within 1-2 years.

I guess my biggest question is why are some of you so bent out of shape that on a silly message board some people put people that annoy them on ignore? I have no problem with people putting me on ignore. I'd rather they ignore me than follow me around the board giving me crap. Ignore makes this place run smoother and honestly, how many "epic", "once in a lifetime" comments do you think actually get made here that if you miss a single post, your life will be diminished in some way?

If by "some of you" you mean myself, I have no problem with people using the ignore option.

It wasn't just you, there are quite a few here through the past 7 pages that just don't understand it and have vigorously "debated" the issue. Actually you were far less a debater and more just a "but what if I miss something" kind of guy.

It’s called "giving my point of view".

Don’t say I’m angered by people using the ignore button, when I’m really not. It’s called "cheating readers, Fed devotee".

I just said you WEREN'T one of the debaters, I just said you weren't angry.

and I'm Fedal, if you're going to misquote me and Octo at least get the insult correct.

You said there are people bent out of shape because some posters ignore other posters. I asked if you were talking about me.

You said “it wasn’t just you”, meaning it WAS me, and some other people too.

And then I said but you really weren't one of the debaters but a what if I miss something kind of guy.

BTW... you also said "it's called giving my point of view" and that's all I did too. And there is/was no reason for this to get so testy.

Sorry I wasn't avoiding your or anything. I just didn't want to post from work on this thread since I was talking about work.

And eh, as if I can tell you which corporation I work for but if you must know, it's part of the financial industry. Speaking of which, another enthusiast wrote and I only noticed it today, 'More work, more fun!!!'. I wrote in bracket 'Get out' next to it. But there was another one, and s/he used an orange pen, '2+2=4-1=3....FACT!" Someone then wrote next to it, "ROFL". But it doesn't stop there and speaking of what is odd, it's right here, "Tuesday Night is date night, yeah!' I was pissed off so wrote, 'Hey! ...stay on topic" - for once, I wanted to stay on topic. I told my colleague friend, it's clearly getting all out of hand now. lmho

Anyway, we are clearly being brainwashed. Let's do this! Make impossible, Possible! is now plastered all over the office. It's on the doors, washrooms, elevators etc. and a whole wall on each kitchen room on every floor is dedicated to this. Now, how clever is this? It's being tattooed on our sub-conscious minds and I love it.

See, you have chosen to focus on the negative when you say a global crisis is coming soon. I will not encourage a negative conversation. It serves no purpose besides, know that whatever you focus on it tends to expand. It's not cool, man. I'd rather you play your guitar and I listen to it.

So how was your day and why do you want me to be so sweet?

I don't have anyone on ignore. I have had a few people say they put me on ignore which is immensely funny and ironic.

Interestingly, I find people who have extensive ignore lists usually do because they only want to hear people agreeing with them. I had TTPS on ignore at one point because he was tool'ish to start, but even that I changed after he actually contributed some decent stuff.

I think we can safely conclude that fans of different players put each other on ignore. It's unlikely a Fed fan would put one of their own on ignore and vice versa.

What motivates people to use the ignore function? Is it to give the illusion of power over people? How can anyone be so upsetting that you can't just scroll past their posts. Then again, I may be on everyone's ignore list, so nobody is reading this.
Power of separation. As well as I am better than you etc. It tests your tolerance threshold too.

I think the 'like' button tells a better story though. It's hilarious!

There are lot of motivations. Some people ignore because they want to live in echo chamber.Others because they find some users so unbearable.Personally I dont like the ignore ignore function, have never used it and I am against it.

I think when you are in an open forum, it is understood that you will be associating yourself with people you don't get along for a number of reasons. That's the nature of an open forum. The Ignore feature does help minimize some of the ongoing arguments. But one can't say any particular fanbase is the exception. It all runs in the same family.

I am probably on everyone’s ignore list :(

I’m just an annoying teen according to @Sabratha anyway :(
Mate had the worst hangover ever so didn't come here yet but dude I don't think you're annoying. And we all were teens once. I'm 26 years old. Not long ago I was called a youngin' who knows nothing about tennis, etc. But you've gotta leave your imprint my friend.

There are so many people that are here for the sheer trolling that putting obvious trolls on ignore save you the trouble of remembering them all.

At some point every day two "new" users appeared, just to perform the same tired acts. Without the ignore it was difficult to even read the General section.

And then there are those that just repeat ad nauseum the same thing until they turn blue.

Of course, some people use the ignore to ignore everything coming from a poster.

I use it as a warning what is eventually coming, so I find it quite practical.

My ignore list has never been graced by a member. It will take a special one to reach it. I don’t foresee that talent threshold ever being met,
I thought that..... and yet.... I now have one, just the one, but of all the bat-sh1t crazy uber Serena fanatics this poster is the Emperor of basket weaving with his own hair. And worse, dull. I decided life was too short to read through such boring, fanatical diatribe.
