Carlos Alcaraz, after his stop in Bahrain where he attended Formula One team training sessions, is heading this Saturday to Qatar, his next stop on the tennis calendar with the ATP 500 tournament in the capital of the Middle Eastern country (16–21). The world No. 1 will find out his opponents in the draw at noon in Doha, in a tournament that has lost Novak Djokovic due to fatigue.


According to MARCA, Alcaraz will hold his first practice session on Saturday afternoon at the Khalifa International Complex, the venue of the tournament.


“Carlitos” is the top seed in a competition that will feature nine of the top 20 players in the world rankings. Jannik Sinner, the world No. 2, will be the Spaniard’s main rival in the race for the title, which Andrey Rublev will be trying to defend. better get 1/2 500's out of the way in a quite february month no ? i fear that he'll play more than 2 500s though.
