Why Adidas black/yellow/white bumble bee kit?

I'm new to tennis but have been watching a lot of matches lately. I was struck by how awful the latest women's outfits are from Adidas. I first saw Jess Pegula wear (and win in) it at the Berlin Ladies Open. I've subsequently seen other women wear it and it's not only a weird colorway but also the fit itself isn't great. No one else's kits bug me as much as this season's Adidas women's outfits.

Designs are awful and that’s the end results. It’s a race to the bottom.

Bumping this thread because Adidas semi-redeemed themselves with one of the kits their athletes wore at Cincinnati. Jess Pegula looked great in this violet dress (Shnaider wore the same dress during their match against each other). Lovely color and flowy skirt. Much better than the weird black/yellow fit they fitted people with earlier this year. I didn't get a chance to watch many other matches, so I wonder what other Adidas fits showed up.
