Unfortunately, far too many people on here seem to think that in order to support the player of their choice then they must denigrate, ridicule and put down anybody else who may be a possible rival!

Nadal gets it in the neck from Fed fans, Nadal fans reply in kind by sneering at Fed's poor record against their man, Djokovic gets it in the neck from both Fed and Nadal fans for intruding into their patch, Murray gets it in the neck particularly from Fed fans (how dare he presume to have a positive H2H against him) and also from Djokovic fans for daring to challenge their man!

But it's my impression that Nadal and Murray are, by far, the most abused and disrespected players on here. The number of constantly negative threads posted about them by 'fans' of rival players is truly staggering and eye-opening!

People who hate and try to denigrate other players just because they can't handle them beating their idols are simply immature and too emotionally unstable to engage in rational conversation. Having wasted too much time on here trying to reason with them, I speak from bitter experience! :twisted:

Yours was a joke in poor taste. As soon as Nadal lost at this year's Wimbledon, innumerable posts and threads mocking his career, majors chances, skills, etc., littered this board. The evidence is there for all to see, just as it was readily available in 2012 at the same event.

No one could have possibly missed that. At one point I counted 13 threads. Of course, they petered out when Roger promptly lost the next round, but they were there and it was beyond disgusting.

I think people misunderstood between hating and disapproval. Nadal is called out for on court coaching doesn't equate to hate, it's similar to criticizing Serena's outburst at the USO.

Honestly, you can't take what you view as perfection and apply that same logic to everyone else. I doubt very seriously that Pete fans would be holding a grudge five years later about broken records. What would be the point of that?
