Why does Federer and Hewitt ......

From the below set ups, both Hewitt and Federer use Gut main, and alu cross. Most of the other pros use the opposite with gut as the cross.

Why does Federer lowerer the tension for the cross and hewitt keep the same tension for mains and crosses?

Lleyton Hewitt Yonex RDX-0010 90 Babolat/Luxilon VS Team/Big Banger Alu Power 16L 23

Roger Federer Wilson nSix-One Tour 90 Wilson/Luxilon Wilson Natural/Big Banger Alu Power Rough 16L 21.5/20

not every pro is the same. lleyton just likes the crosses and mains at the same tension while fed doesnt. its just a matter of personal preference.

for someone who's been posting quite a lot about strings recently...im pretty surprised. different people like different things...it's as easy as that.

those tensions are seriously LOW... cannot be serious...

Its because Pros like Fed can get away with using low tensions. Amateurs and recreational players like us wouldnt be able to handle a racquet with a 53 pound tension. You need enormous strenth and racquet speed to be able to use a tension that low.

beacsue they want performance and it will only last for about for 8 games on average and the crosses cut through the nat gut mains quickly.
