Why does no one ever talk about Topspin & Polyfibre? They are the softest poly.

Which Topspin string?

I played exclusively with Topspin Cyber Flash for over 10 years, and converted many folks over to it when I had a stringing business in college. It was really great stuff in it's day, particularly for the price.

TopSpin Cyber Blue is one if not my favorite round string!! really great, powerful and last forever.. for the price it's amazing.

Also have reels of pretty much every Polyfibre at home. Those are really nice and fun, as you say, the most soft polys I've tried!
Like in particular Evolution Ribbed, Panthera and Hightech Premium.

However, it requires you to tring your raquets yourself, as tension drops pretty fast. I don't use them in winter when I play 1x a week, as I would have to resting almost before each play LOL

Is early gen bad? Soft is soft, and they are by far the softest
Shocked they aren't even discussed here with the daily inquiries about arm friendly poly

@FiddlerDog
-nothing wrong with early gen. copolys
-the new stuff is just better in performance
-new tech feel and better tension maintenance is evident on the new polys of today
-the old copolys are still around because the people who used them LOVE the feel
-feel is everything
-but FEEL is a personal "thang"
-i would recommend picking up a pack of interesting ones (old ones = cheap now) and comparing them to others
-ive done afew side/side/side comparisons,
-and posted my reviews on TW (run a quick search if you are interested)

I will order a few single packs.
Can you explain the difference between "old technology" string and "new technology" string?

Even to you I could not sell this string in good conscious. You can string it and look at it sideways and it will drop tension.

Try it and if you like it then we can work something out.

I ordered a few packs of Cyber Flash, the softest Poly ever made.
Tension maintenance is a moot point since all poly is advised to get cut out in 5-10 hours anyway.

I don't think the older generation poly argument is acceptable these days.

alu power has been around for how long? 1994? is it still in use today?

signum plasma was voted best poly in 2006 I believe, but is still used by many gamers.

on the other hand, how many new generation poly, supposedly exceptional did not convince, or were ultimately not that exceptional.

a lot of gamers after trying and playing with hyper-g or paradox, or so many other new things finally come back to plasma or mefagorce. (to name a few!) at my club, many players return to Head Lynx, Polystar Energy, Signum plasma or megaforce, kirschbaum pro line or weiss silverstring

There are 2 strings I always come back to, they are kind of my reference strings: Alu Power and Cyber Flash.

Cyber Flash 17L has been a long time favorite, I have over the last few years testing a lot of strings (still have a lot still to try out), and CF still stands out. To me it is a special string, it is really soft for the arm, but still have that crispness a silver string represents. Freshly strong it kind of have that Alu sensation.

Tried all of the soft poly strings, they are all in their own way good, but that feeling of a CF silver string is addictive for me. Also I have been monitoring tension loss with an ERT300 string meter and CF seems to hold tension better than most other soft polys (Cream being the exception).

I am playing the nationals soon in my country, and I have 3 freshly strung racquets (CF 17L 1.20 - Alu Power 1.15 - Alu Power 1.25) that I will try over the next few days to see witch string I will chose for the tournament.

youtuber refers to the string as a 'stiff' polyester but everyone else has been calling this a soft/comfortable poly?

Very True... unfortunately...
Not all though... Panthera and the latest one evolution ribbed hold tension a bit better..
Nothing tremendous but if you string yourself not a big deal

CF is among the softes poly out there, Just look at the stiffness numbers at TWU.

However the CF plays crisp but is very soft, that is unusual and might have confused the reviewer.

Cyber Flash's playing characteristics change quite a bit as time goes on. The first hour is totally different than the last hour. I used to dislike it for the first 30-45 minutes (when it is the most spinny), but then it settles in quite a bit.

I think the reviewer above, like many on YouTube, fail to test the string through it's full life cycle. This review is quite inconsistent with my 10+ years and 10+ reels of Cyber Flash.
