why don't the ATP make 'The Boodles' a grass 250 event ?.

look at the players this year..

djokovic, murray, del potro, berdych, cilic, querrey, raonic, janowicz, dimitrov.

lol wut..surely they could still call it 'the boodles' but have the event made official by the atp,

as it stands all these players are in a tourney but the results don't go on the career records..?????????????????????????:confused:

It's an exhibition mate. If it was an official tournament, none of the players on that list would be playing it!

They play practice sets in public for lots of wonga. They don't want actual competition the week before a slam. If they did, they'd be playing Eastbourne.

That is part of its appeal. They can play in a more "relaxed" setting, knowing there are no official ATP points/stats at stake. As noted, that is one of the biggest reasons for its appeal.

I wish TennisChannel would televise it though.:)
