Why I believe that Sunday's Final will be the real beginning of the post-big 3 era!

Well at some stage now change is going to happen. Carlos is 19, Casper is 23, where as Roger at 41 is 22 years older followed by Rafa at 36 and Novak at 35.
Where things are perhaps more compelling is for the guys in their mid to late 20’s who have failed to break through. Will these guys fight back against the guys in their late teens and early 20’s, or is it over for them as well. Will Carlos sweep the aside? At the end of the day, life is uncertain and we watch how things trend.

Thiem and Zverev; Cilic and Nishikori - they have been the only two Grand Slam finals with non-big 3 finalists - and joining them will be Alcaraz and Ruud on Sunday! This will be the REAL beginning of the post-big 3 era - this does not mean that none of the big 3 can ever win Grand Slams in the future - it does mean however that their dominance will finally be ended! Yes, they have gotten older but it's also a changing of the guard: Carlos is 19 and Casper is 23. I really believe Carlos will win on Sunday (debate it all you want I am very certain of it) - it's going to be the beginning of a brand new era in men's tennis and it's about time! I say this as someone who loves and adores Rafa. We will finally get more GS finals without any of the big 3 with greater consistency in 2023! Mark my words!
See 1997- 2003...very similar feelings

It’s more worrying for Nadal in my opinion. Djoko can still hang better with the next gen but if alcaraz becomes even better on clay he might beat Rafa there next season. I still think Djokovic can win Australia (if he can play) and Wimbledon despite the rise of alcaraz.
Up to now Carlos as big a threat on hard as clay if you look at his results this year. Rafa dominates RG more than Novak does the AO. Alcaraz is a threat to both their dominant slams in my view. I don’t see Carlos as less of a threat to Novak than Rafa at all.

I stand by what I said: this is the beginning of a new era in men's tennis!!!! And I couldn't be happier about it!!! (: (: (:

Be careful what you wish for...go look at the slam champs from '97 - '03...Rough stuff there for while...I think we have more talent right now than back then, but it's inconsistent and mentally weak.
