Why is the POG considered to be low powered?

and Prince Tour NXG Graphite Racquets is considered to be more powerful?? The Pog is heavier, would'nt that give it more power!

Length: 27.5 inches / 70 cm
Strung Weight: 11.9oz / 337g

Stiffness: 63
Beam Width: 20 mm Straight Beam

Two reasons:

1). The extra half inch is a significant factor.

2). Another possibility may be the wider beam. That can lead to the perception of greater power, a "widebody effect", if you will.

I've been hitting with a POG OS for the last 12-16 months and with and NXG OS the last month or so:

-The nxg has a lot more pop on overheads and volleys
-It is a little easier to serve with the nxg; a little more pop
-The POG has a better feel from the baseline than the nxg

I'm around a 4.5 player. have the POG strung with Gosen micro sheep 17 at 60 lbs. I have the NXG strung with Gosen micro sheep at 58 lbs.

The nxg feels stiffer than the pog.

If you can swing the pog as fast, it may well be just as powerful for you.

Overall, having demo'd them both, I'd say the nxg is a little more powerful because of

1. extra 1/2 inch
2. additional beam width
3. it's actually stiffer, although it may test the same on the machine.

Don't know what part of the racket the machine tests for stiffness, but there seem to be all sorts of variations on stiffnesss depending on the are of the racket you're talking about: the shaft, the yoke, the lower hoop, upper hoop, etc.

The point above is important and widely ignored....racquet flex cannot be adequately described by a single number, and the degrees and rates at which different parts of a racquet flex on impact surely have all kinds of effect on power, control, feel, etc.
