I would venture to guess it's colder in Shanghai than it is in Houston this time of year.

Okay I just looked it up - about a 12 degree difference in average high (74 to 62), not that bad, but I can understand why they might want a roof.

Yeah I guess they have the money so why not a retractable roof? I think also this tournament is supposed to be indoors since the tournaments before this were all indoors. Thus finishing off the indoor season here.
