World gave him a fair chance at USO. He won it without facing any top 25 player.

But now look at China - 500 draw ...

QF - isner (#17)

He's facing world #23 in the first round itself.

This is so cruel. Isner just beat him few days back. they could've placed him in another half. But no !! So much injustice .. Disappointed :(:mad:
 
Safe to say that little nephew is not winning this tournament.

Historically he has had a problem winning tournaments where the actual path to the title was top heavy.

By actual path I mean not the projected draw, but whatever draw materialized.

That is one of the reasons why he never won WTF.

Is this a serious thread? This is a good thing, it will give him a chance to prove himself.

Besides, the world number 23 he will start against is having a terrible backwards step of a year after his breakout 2016, it's hardly the stuff of nightmares. People on this forum get way too caught up on freakin' rankings.

People who have been opening salty, whiny threads with the same salty, whiny remarks over and over for the last month now are really talking originality here?

Give me a break. You are all the same folks.
 
The way I think of it is this: just as with great power comes great responsibility, so without great trials and tribulations, there is no greatest human of all time. If the world had not been as thoroughly unkind to Rafael Nadal as it has been, he would likely never have developed his great attributes of humility, morality, and invincibility. Without bum draws such as this one, who knows whether he would at this point in his career be morally undefeated?

On another note, I want to commend the OP for finding this great injustice at this time. While the world is distracted with such minor matters as the hurricanes and storms in Puerto Rico, Florida, Texas, and Bangladesh, with civil war and ethnic conflict in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq, and with rising tension due to the ethno-nationalist revival across Europe and North America, the OP has rightly cut to the chase and pointed out that Rafael Nadal's draw in Beijing is the great moral crisis of our times. It is just fortunate that we have a superhero - whose special power is morality - to come to the rescue.
 
Rafa fans moaned about his supposedly "brutal" USO draw....

As Socrates pointed out 2,400+ years ago, it is better to suffer an injustice than to commit one. Nadal is the master at accepting injustice with a humble and phlegmatic shrug, because he knows that those who treat him so cruelly are harming their own souls by doing so, while at the same time continuing his moral run.

What are you on about. The funny or witty threads on these forum are the best thing on this site but unfortunately they’re quite rare. But hurt posts are just sad and most of the time make the poster look quite pathetic wether fed, nadal, Djokovic or whoever fans. There’s a couple of posters who have cracking one liners and witty pictures etc every now and then. Please do post a witty diss about any player/situation. Your posts (not you as a person) mainly seem to be butthurt posts, obsessive or purposefully insulting or just weird crap. I’m not saying this simply as i disagree i mean your posts just seem weird and obsessive even if I did agree with most points. Calm down fed and nadal don’t know we exist and don’t give a crap what we think. They are not our Gods. Sorry if this sounds harsh
