Wii or PS2 + extras?

This holiday season I'm going to purchase a new gaming system (still wearing out my Dreamcast, Gamecube, and PS1 but am looking for something a little newer). The PS3 and XBox 360 are out of my price range so that leaves me with two options to spend my $250 on:

1) Nintendo Wii (which after watching a lot of the reports over the past 24 hours looks a lot more fun than I first thought) with 5 game sports pack

2) Playstation 2 ($120) with the following: Guitar Hero II ($75), 2 memory cards ($35), and either another controller ($25) or a $20 game.

So, which do you think I should go with?

the wii is gonna be 300$ last time i checked. so i dont know where your getting it for 250 but please let me know if you are. i want that tennis game and zelda. i saw some gameplay from zelda and it looks unbelievable. it has like 50 hours of gameplay.

Oh and apparently the word with reviewers is Zelda is around 70 hours for completion.

Wii. PS2 is yesterdays news. Nintendo was the greatest years ago. It is almost sentimental to me. I wish they could create the dominant system on the market again.

As for PS3, that is amazing potential right there. Should help Blu-Ray become the standard technology for all video entertainment. HD-DVD has an uphill battle, now.

price tag on ps3 needs to come down. i was amazed at the people waiting in line to get one. dont these people have jobs. the wii is the only one that really changed anything. ya the ps3 is gonna have amazing graphics but the wii controller is gonna set it apart.
