Wilander: Nadal more fun to watch than Djokovic or Federer

The exact opposite. His tennis is very predictable and unimaginative. He is very dull and generally I only watch against players who can put his game under the microscope.
The appeal of Federer is his technical excellence but he is not a great thinker or problem solver on the tennis court. He does what he does and it usually works. but when it doesn't, for much of his career he has been absolutely clueless. How many times did Nadal need to pummel his backhand for the message to sink in that he needed to change something on that side?
Frankly, Federer is a bit tennis-thick.

I find Nadal the most interesting to watch, but I love watching Federer. His game is not dull at all to me.

Federer is not thick, but he is not a "warrior" like Nadal and Djokovic, who has consistency on their side. Federer wanted to play like his idol Edberg and a naturally offensive game/ nature is hard to change.

It will always be a huge advantage to be left-handed in tennis. That's why Rafa was trained to play left-handed. I doubt a right-handed Rafa would have won 22 slams.

It isn't a huge advantage to be left handed in tennis. Statistically left handers are under represented in tennis.

You don't understand! It's unfair that a left-handed player can hit cross forehands to a right-handed player's backhand whereas a right-handed player...can hit a forehand cross to a left-handed player's backhand!!!

Um...wait a minute...

“The older I get, the more I enjoy watching him play,” the seven-time Grand Slam champion and Eurosport analyst told L’Equipe.
“We see that he trusts his variations more than when he was 22 or 23 years old. I find his tennis more fun than Roger's or Novak's."

I admit I chuckled a bit because Wilander changes his mind all the time. But what do you think? Diskus.
It should be "The older i get.. the more of a chameleon i turn in to".

It is a huge advantage because they are under represented. Right handed players are programmed to go to the backhand when attacking, and it's not easy to change those patterns in the heat of a match. It's also best to have this advantage when points are played in the ad-court, rather than the "neutral" deuce-court.

I'm a Nadal fan, just to make that clear. So you can spare your childish tone here, @intrepidish

He can’t help it.

I think you're right.

But trying to undermine a valid point by assuming I'm a hurt Federer fan is just embarrassing...
Then again, the way certain posters defend their favourite player in every question makes you think these people are TTW child soldiers...
