Should the ATP board penalise him with match fee amount or something??

Or the rules are just limited for players who've a history of it and others can get away with it?

Or because he is a top player and has special privileges and exemptions from certain rules??

If Kyrgios did the same he would be banned for a year. I expect him to tweet soon.

In order to make him learn, they shouldn't fine him with money because he's rich so it won't matter, instead they should penalize him by taking away some of his weeks at no.1.

They definitely should to set an example. He boldly claimed that he tanked in the press conference, to even insinuate something like that should be finable.

No, because he didn't tank. He just said he's ok with the loss. He didn't go out there and double fault on purpose, or play points while walking around.

fine line between tanking and just being out of gas emotionally. everybody out there is good, and it doesn't take much dip in your level to really swing a scoreline. maybe he didn't give 100%, and maybe he just...couldn't. last couple of months have been quite a ride and like him or hate him, you can see how he might have just run outta steam here. regrouping for wtf no doubt.

World number one Novak Djokovic has encouraged troubled Australian star Bernard Tomic to take his profession more seriously after he spectacularly gave up in losing to Fabio Fognini at the Madrid Masters.

"I've seen what he has done. It's not right and I hope he realises that," said the 11-time Grand Slam champion.

There's no way nole manages 3 games against a clay courter on indoors HC than he did against a redlining nadal on clay and redlining federer on HC (RG2020 and Wtf19, both straight set defeats)

Here's the rule*:
"Best Efforts
i) A player shall use his best efforts during the match when competing in a
tournament. Violation of this section shall subject a player to a fine up to
$20,000 for each violation.
ii) For purposes of this rule, the Supervisor and/or the Chair Umpire shall have the authority to penalize a player in accordance with the Point Penalty Schedule. In circumstances that are flagrant and particularly injurious to the success of a tournament, or are singularly egregious, the ATP Supervisor may refer the matter to the ATP VP-Rules & Competition
who shall conduct an investigation to determine whether the player Major Offense of Aggravated Behavior or Conduct Contrary to the Integrity of
the Game has occurred. Prize money earned at that event shall be held by ATP until the ATP VP-Rules & competition has concluded his investi-
gation and made a determination."

Lol. I only said they don't have any evidence. I don't care about him being guilty or not.

I like how the people like you will talk through your clenched teeth about "evidence", despite knowing full well that he tanked. You are the same people that blasted Kyrgios for tanking, only he didn't hide it, and took one to the chin, like a decent person (compared to Djokovic in this case).
