Will Djokovic become the second man to win a HC slam, in the open era, without dropping a set?

Also the first in US Open in history

Federer did this at 2007 Australian Open.

It is a greater achievement than doing it on clay or grass due to the fields being deeper on hard courts (more players comfortable)

Draw looks a bit difficult to do that, I fully expect him to win it and has a good chance of straight setting Murray tomorrow I think/ But he could drop a set to Wawa if he meets him in the semis and another 1 in the final vs Roger.

2 or 3 sets dropped (but not in the same match) imo lol.

8th slam incoming shortly.

I think he will drop maybe 3 or 4 sets on his way to his 2nd US Open title. 4 sets with Murray, 4 or 5 sets with Raonic/Wawrinka, 5 sets with Federer.

He's not winning the title without dropping a set. I think he will drop 1, maybe 2 sets to Murray and he has a chance of even losing against Wawrinka.

LOL at fed fanboys not being ashamed of mocking Novak's extremely difficult draw while Fed is having a cakewalk.

Just shows how much integrity some of them have.

Regardless of this. Novak is much better player than any of the above fortunately and I am confident that he will come on top, barring scheduling, crowd and umpire shenanigans. I.e. if we have a fair game.
According to you, Djokovic is going to basically cakewalk to the title.

It was proven that Fed's opponents are higher ranked on average than Djokovic's.

Chico says Novak will win without dropping a set. If he is that confident, why would he bother about the draw?

On the topic, Novak will drop at least three sets

It was proven that:

Mats Wilander said on insidetennis.com, "You have to say that the era when he (Federer) played was the worst of all time. That’s why he was winning so much… His era had the worst Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5 we've had‚ the Nalbandians, Roddicks, Hewitts. That’s one of the reasons why Roger dominated so much."

Who grabbed a set off Djokovic at AO11? I recall that he has beaten Berdych, Federer and Murray in straights during that tournament.

Ivan Dodig. Proves my point. Even at his peakiest of peaks he still wasn't good enough to drop a set. Not that it really matters. Lucky that Troicki retired after that first set as well. I was getting a funny feeling about that one...

Dodig is a good player, would have easily made it to top-5 in Ljubicic era.
