In your dreams. Djokovic will not pass from receiving a bagel and a straigth sets loss to suddenly defeat Nadal who has never lost a RG final. The AO is not RG. Different conditions. Djokovic is the AO king, Nadal is the RG king.

Khm, say it again.

Given how comprehensive the 2020 French Open final destruction was for Nadal and given that it was played in cold clay conditions (so, more like hard-court than traditional clay), I really can't picture Djokovic ever beating Nadal again, regardless of surface.

Nadal seems to have improved his backhand to the extent that he gains the edge on Nadal forehand to Djokovic backhand exchanges AND Nadal backhand to Djokovic forehand exchanges.

Seems to be no play to go to for Djokovic. Nadal is fitter and can last longer in rallies too, so Djokovic just seems to mentally check out of rallies and go for a crappy drop-shot to lose the point.

Will Djokovic ever beat Nadal again?
Doubt he ever beats Nadal on clay again. Nadal will probably be less complacent as he was this year. Hard courts is hard to predict outside australia as it depends on the conditions which can vary massively. On grass Nadal would never get a set off djokovic which presumably he knows and why he avoided Wimbledon altogether. Not sure I buy the mental fatigue argument. If he wins UO I would give him benefit of doubt though.

After beating Nadl at RG for the second time I doubt Nadl will ever beat Djok there again.

Maybe you are right. Hard to tell what Nadal will be like. Did his FO loss signify he is much declined now (which would follow the pattern of the Tsitsipas loss) or did Djokovic just hit the heights of perfect tennis?
In a sort of odd way If say Nadal won FO next year and Djokovic stuck on 19 Majors it perhaps would elevate Djokovic to GOAT. Reason being he would have achieved the impossible I.e beating a still Major capable winning Nadal on PC.
Everyone has their own opinion but for me if Nadal wins another Major or 2 even if he ends up ahead of Djokovic slam wise I’d probably consider Djokovic as the Greatest as beating Nadal on PC is the hardest thing in sport. If Nadal never wins a Major again then it would be less of an achievement as 2021 probably a year too far for Nadal.
Nadal skipping Wimbledon is not good for the sport at all if he is still capable of winning Majors. Let’s see how it all plays out.
Djokovic definitely getting a lot of love nowadays.

Djokovic removed the need for that.

He actually 'asked' Nadal about USO21. Nadal replied a week later - no W21, no OG21.

So, let's hope we all get another one to remember at USO21.
The real rivalry in tennis may be Djokovic v Medvedev now. Nadal could be irrelevant. Skipping Wimbledon has lost him popularity I feel as many fans feel let down.
Medvedev is shutting a lot of people up.

I do not follow this logic. Nadal if he wins say MC and Rome and Djokovic wins no M1000 goes back to top of m1000 leaderboard. Nadal likely to have a 3 slam lead by July. Federer i assume also will target slams and lesser events to get past connors. So Djokovic could actually lose everything if he only focusses on slams unless he wins them?
Nah, he's good :)

Lmao. You did not at all. You just went off on a tangent. Nadal and Djokovic have met once in north america since 2013 the arbitary date you have picked as a reference point.
But the next Major is clay. Clay the only surface that is relevant now until July. Perhaps we revisit this in July?

Well its July....

lol...well at least Nadal is the moral winner as we all know he was injured in the 3rd and 4th set

The second half of your post is excellent; however, I'm not sure why you qualify this important point by saying "at least." "At least" implies some sort of consolation. However, there is no need to console The Humble Bull for the recent result in the Djokovic Open. Being the moral victor is the most important thing, and he was that yet again.

If only this thread was bumped a week ago, when his alter ego BlueMoon20 was still active, you could've had your wish. Unfortunately, he was banned as well.

Oh....he's already back, just waiting for him to quote me. ;)

This thread was so ridiculous lol. The real question is : can Nadal beat Djokovic again outside of clay ? Last time he did it was 8 years ago.

Really hard to say until Us Open starts. Nobody knows where Nadal is at now form wise. He did look better in Australia than in Paris so it could be in his later years he prefers the quicker courts as long as they bounce more than on grass.
Right now Federer is looking ominous. Much talk about Nadal equalling US Open record but starting to think Federer If he wins Wimbledon might just go and get the outright Us Open record.
In sport things can change overnight. Nobody thought Federer would get to quarters this easily. Slam race a three horse race again

Well, if Nadal never makes it to SF/F of a Slam, Djokovic will have no chance of beating him. Exactly what happened at AO the last 2 years.

Haha, for some reason people think that making a wrong prediction causes people to be embarrassed, lol. It just makes me go for more. I now think not only will Djokovic never beat Nadal again, but he will never take a single point off Nadal ever again, and Nadal will finish his career with 14 ADDITIONAL French Opens - i.e. not just 14 overall, but 14 MORE, therefore equalling 27 French Opens before he retires.
