Will Djokovic now find all the love?

Will Djokovic now find all the love that he so desperately seeks from the crowds? Or will he continue to beg them for more?

Sadly we rarely find what we seek. Instead we must look in front of us, open our eyes, and embrace what stands before us. Nole has plenty of love around him; more than any human could ever need. All he has to do is look.

Two slams away from naming your first born Novak Djokovic.

Good thing I'm never having kids.

Ahahaha.

The more fanatic hate against him, the better player he becomes, so bring it on. :)

The crowd loved him, actually

when he wasn't winning against Fedal, and wasn't considered a big threat. They found him funny and entertaining.

His success hurts Fedal fans deeply, that's all.

But tennis is not a reality show, nor a beauty pageant,
where the likes of crowd decide the winner
but sport - where the best player wins. So suck it up. :)

He will get love from all the tennis commentators and experts. Maybe some drunken yahoos in Queens and old stick-in-the-muds in SW19 might not give it to him, but I think fans elsewhere will start cheering for him more.

Djokovic won’t want any love I imagine, the hatred he’s had over the years has been his recipe for getting 19 majors and fire’s him up , he wouldn’t want to change that. Federer is the opposite kind of player

After the way he behaved at the end of his QF many tennis fans will always be uncomfortable with him. It’s his fault as he always ends up doing something ridiculous.

Naw he won’t. But tennis is good with a villain even if it’s the top guy. He’ll never get the love Fedal receives even if he has 25 slams but it doesn’t effect his game or quality of his life.

He'll keep on gaining more fans (and that's what matters really) but the hatred will also be mounting up with each win. it's unavoidable lol

People will eventually recognize him when he's gone. Because the truth always finds it way. He represents scapegoat for other people's sins. That's what people always do, they find scapegoat and try to make him look bad so that they would look good in their on mind. But once this spell is over they will see the truth. They will see Novak the son of God... (I am talking about tennis and it's a metaphor) :)

Image is everything as Agassi once said. Joker has no sex appeal. That's why he'll never get love. His personality is fine and obviously his tennis is GOAT. But his look has remained eastern euro-trash for years. He's the best ever and he's wearing third or fourth tier brands? Izod? Asics? That tells you something. He's had that same goofy haircut, those schoolboy cut shorts, the "behind the iron curtain" tracksuits. He just doesn't sell to the masses.

Everyone always talks about the massive entourage these tennis players have-- here's one that Djokovic needs to add to his--a freaking stylist.

I think he knows he has a HUGE fanbase, just not as big as Fedal, and that's OK. People are fickle. Look at this forum man. All we do is throw insults at the players who are working day and night to become better, yes even the next gen. All this from our couches lol. People will always judge others around them, doesn't mean that it's important

C'mon, he had genuine support today from the crowd. Same at the AO earlier this year. Just coz he isn't as popular as Fedal globally, it doesn't mean he doesn't have his own large (and growing) fanbase.

Wimbledon crowd has tended to be very lukewarm towards him, USO crowd sometimes outright boorish. But he has managed to win, nevertheless, against the crowd fave several times. I think that respect will flow his way, as grudging as might be from the more extreme and partisan of fans.

Greatness deserves to be respected, applauded. Even if the crowd doesn't "love" him more than the opponent, they would respect him- or should, if they really appreciate the game and greatness. Personally, I think Wimbledon and USO crowds WILL gradually come around too, though perhaps not all that fervently. But that's ok. Novak can win anyway. Lack of respect from the crowd reflects poorly on them, not on him.

But why does he continue to beg the crowd for it? God forbid that they might be cheering more for the other player.

Where did he "beg" for anything? Plenty of other players also ask the crowd to cheer and buoy the atmosphere. Why does every single tangential thing he does have to be inspected and analysed , from how he celebrates victories, to how he gestures to the crowd to cheer?

No he won't find suddenly find Fed level love.

But he won't see the need to ask for it either. I think he's more comfortable in his skin now and a lot more people will respect his tennis achievements.

LOL. People are just hating him more it seems like. He managed something no one could do since Laver today and you could hear a mouse fart cheese in France
Well....you choose not to hear or see the plaudits, that's on you. I suggest you read the papers tomorrow? See the buzz on social media? How you can claim his achievement is NOT being talked about is stunning. Lashes of sour grapes.
