Apologies in advance for another Federer thread. Roger has a great opportunity to win back to back hard court titles in Indian Wells & Miami for the third consecutive year. He goes for his fourth consecutive title in Indian Wells and his third consecutive title in Miami and in doing so extend his consecutive match winning streak to 53. I think he wins both Indian Wells and Miami.

He seems to be too good right now to get beaten on Hard Court. It's tough to win these events back to back, but he did it last year, so it seems silly to doubt him. I think he wins both.

I think he will win indian wells...he really wants to break that record,if he wins indian wells i dont think he will win miami. Also if he doesnt win indian wells he wont break the record and then he will be super determined and will win miami.

Who is going to beat him? I keep waiting for the likes of Gasquet and Berdych to show up but they seldom do.

Maybe Misha will do it or... gulp... Safin?

(Davydenko?)

Nadal looks terrible on hard courts lately. Blake is an airhead. I'm at a loss.

Could be situation similar to Cinci last year where Fed was kinda played out, tired and someone played well and beat him (Murray).

Its not as hard as winning Canada/Cincinnati back to back, since Indian Wells & Key Biscayne are both 10 day events. There are 3 days in between the start of each & Fed gets days off during both events. canada & cincinnati are one week events, no rest days, & one starts directly after the other.

At this point, it soley depends on whether he wants both of them or not.

:p

As another person mentioned that he might be tired, I don't think so. That wouldn't stop him from winning both events, again. He's only played 2 tournaments so far and I think he's well prepared for these two hard court events.

Fed won't be tired at all, he's had nothing but rest. If anything, he'll have a tough first couple matches at Indian Wells, and then enter zen tennis mode. He'll stay near zen mode for most of Miami, but will be in the zone for the last 3 rounds.

I'm afraid Federer will win both...honest
I wish Rafa to be the finalist in both ;)

Yes, with ease.

 I Like that phrase "enter zen tennis mode"

Wish I could do that too sometimes..

I voted that he'll win both, I just don't see anyone beating him.

No he won't.

Probably, isn't it boring that same guy wins all the time? Maybe we should change the indian wells to clay courts ? Bring in that monte carlo slow clay??
