Will Nadal win a 'Tier 1/Tier 1.5 title' this year?

Which Tier 1.5 or Tier 1 titles will Rafael Nadal win in 2015?

Tier 1 - Slams and WTF
Tier 1.5 - Masters 1000

He has 4 chances left:
- USO
- Shanghai
- Paris
- WTF

You'd think that Paris and WTF are the least likely for him.

He is the king of the Masters as of now (a current record of 27 titles), so it seems somewhat crazy that he could end up having ZERO Tier 1/1.5 titles in 2015. It happened to Murray in 2014 and Federer in 2013 but still, we're talking about Rafa here.

So far in 2015, Djokovic has dominated in the Masters with 4 titles, Andy grabbing 2 titles and Roger grabbing 1 title.

Thoughts?

I think Nadal has one last run at the 16 French before its over.
It will be like Agassi's final run at his last US open in 2005 or so.
So close...

Paris: out of the question.
Shanghai:more probable, but needs both Djokovic and Murray out of form, otherwise chances are slim.
WTF:needs Djokovic and Federer (less so)out of form.
US Open: his best chance, but needs subpar Djokovic and his own serve clicking and his "speed" there

EDIT: I would go with the WTF, IF Djokovic wins US Open

US is his best chance. Favorable draw, seeing some easy early matches, tight mid round matches that he just barely gets thru and battle tests him, and then quite a bit of luck having to face only 1 of Fed/Murray/Wawa and then a subpar/metnal walkabout Novak in the final is his best shot imo.

Odds? About 15 percent I'd say.

I think this is the key.

Needs to get someone other than Djokovic in the QFs.

USO, has been his best or 2nd best slam for a while now. He suffered a lot of losses this year he would have likely turned around in BO5 due to still superior fitness so if he gets a good draw anything's possible. I see him as an outside contender there (akin to Fed).

Don't see him winning any of the remaining masters or WTF.

Then again, the USO > WTF > Shanghai = Paris so I guess USO being his best chance is a good thing in a sense...

Did anyone mention WTF? I believe Rafa's remaining 2015 and beyond will elicit one big WTF from everyone watching.

Isn't WTF bellow a Major? Shouldn't it be like a Tier 1.25. Is Monte Carlo a 1.5 Tier or more like a 1.75 Tier.
A winning Slams is 4 Majors so shouldn't that be a Tier 0.25 or 0.20?

These Tiers get far to confusing? Can see why they are called Majors, Masters ATP1000, ATP500, ATP250, and WTF.

No, Nadal has no chance to win a Major or Masters this year, he can not beat Djokovic / Murray or Federer in current form. He will likely have to beat 2-off in a Major, Masters or WTF to win. He will struggle until AO. He is struggling and fighting to win in the early rounds. He has shown little signs of becoming physically imposing and unless he has a good summer reset break will likely retire mid/end 2016. Only he and his team know the extend of his body's condition but be will not win with his game without being physically imposing. He has AO, Miami, Clay season with FO to show improvement else he'll never come back. He might be hoping for stem cell therapy to works, which he has been associated with. I truly hope it is as I need some. He has the ability to pull out a great game but not 4 consecutively and player know he's hurting and will push him harder as a result.

Ironically, his best chance is at the last major of the year. But it aint' happening.

The realistic scenario for him is to build some momentum at the smaller events like Andy last year(China,Viena and Valencia) and reach the SF at the WTF/ This way he would ensure his top 10 ranking till Wimbledon 16 and this should give him more favorable draws.
